Hi, LSWP here again. My baby goat died yesterday morning and it's been really hard because I took constant care of her for three weeks. I gave her shots and moved her because she couldn't walk, I syringed food to her, I brought her in the house for 24 hour care. We would have made it if it wasn't for the pneumonia. She was only four months old. I even held her down while she seized yesterday as we put her down. She was my baby girl and I miss her. Is if weird to grieve over a baby goat?

Dear LSWP, 

I am so sorry to hear about your little goat, love. I just want you to know that you are such an amazing person for taking care of her and being there right to the end, not many animals ever have that chance with someone, and it wouldn't have gone unnoticed. Goats, even youngsters are highly intelligent creatures, and she would have known that it was you who had helped her. It is not weird at all to grieve for a baby goat, she was close to you and a friend. You loved her, and it's okay to be sad that she is gone. If you need someone to talk to about it, I am here for you, I have always had many happy pets in my life, but with so many pets it sadly means I see many leave, and it never gets easier. Try and focus on the positive, you did everything you could and gave her the most comfortable chance that you could, and I', sure you had some good times with her, too.
