can people please tag their posts... politics is on the list
considering what’s going on in the world at this very moment, we think that asking for politics to be tagged is insensitive. if there’s no violent imagery or graphic descriptions then we don’t see a need for text posts to be tagged. generally speaking, there are writers of color in this group and they play characters of color as well, so when something like this happens we understand the need for them to reasonably vent their frustrations. we know that this is a matter of comfort and some writers would rather not have to see political posts on the dashboard, but being able to ignore this sort of thing is a privilege that not everyone is allotted. this may be frustrating for some of you, but for the time being we’re going to be taking politics off of the tag list.
with the world in shambles, there’s definitely been an influx in online articles. things are going viral at an alarming rate in a desperate attempt for click-bait. meanwhile, the hackers behind ltc.inc have found an ingenious way of doing that for their own personal gain.
they’ve created a new up-and-coming website that seems legit; there are articles with a plethora of sources behind them, a slew of credited editors and more. they’ve even gone so far as reaching out to your management team for an exclusive interview. it’s a great way to get some exposure, they say. a great way to explore your thoughts on the world (and it may include some questions that are a little... too personal?) and with that, you’ve got a one way ticket to having your own moment in the spotlight! or so that’s what they want you to think. the questions are all being fed straight to an anonymous hacker who will compile an in-depth google doc with all of the juicy tidbits from everyone who has dared to submit their interview...
below is a questionnaire to fill out on your side blogs. this is a mandatory task, and you will have until july 15th, 2020 to complete this! please tag your completed questionnaire with “ltc.task”.
what have you been doing to pass the time? anything new you’ve discovered, or significant events that have unfolded in your life?
if 100 people in your age group were selected randomly, how many do you think they’d find leading a happier life than you?
has any one person ever made you so angry that you couldn’t forgive them?
if a crystal ball could tell you the truth about yourself, your life, the future, or anything else, what would you want to know?
what’s the fondest memory you have of a person you haven’t talked to in ages?
what do you attribute the biggest successes in your life to? How about your largest failures?
what is the worst/funniest thing you have done drunk, but don’t remember doing?
the scariest thing you went through this year? tell us the valuable life lesson you learned with it? if you learned...
i’m sure you’ve noticed a little something-something. we decided to do a makeover and give ourselves a little bit of a face lift! and we have a few updates that are going to be happening:
side blogs: while we don’t mind anyone using them to browse, it’s been apparent that a few people have overstepped the rule of keeping side-blog information ooc, so we are going to be making them private from now on. the only way you’ll have any information posted now is via the gossip blog, which has completely new mods, and will be more active from here on out. we’ll be posting our first side-blog task in a few days for everyone to complete.
social bubbling & role hogging: while we know everyone has their friends, it is frustrating to see someone log on every other day to post a text post, but not interacting after that. this is role hogging and bubble rping. starting the next activity check, people will start to get warnings for this and will be removed after three warnings.
also: please always check your invites.
please like this to acknowledge you’ve read this. this is important! if you want, here’s the rules again to reread.
hey all you cool cats and kittens, i just want to be a friendly reminder that even though interacting on hangouts is good — this is still a dash interaction based game, and i do know a few people have been struggling to get interactions (selfies, plot request calls, etc) as of late so that’s why i’m here to give a little notice about that.
i know things can get clustered easily by reblogged posts, but just a reminder to keep tagging plot requests and selfies and to always try and take a second or two to go back through respond, a little comment, a like, it all adds up and makes a big difference in making everyone feeling included! with that being noted, the next few activity checks we will be looking for bubble rp-ing, so please keep that in mind.
last and foremost, there is a mandatory side-blog task currently over here on the gossip blog, you’ll have until july 15th to finish this!
just a heads up to please send in when you change your url — we’ve had a few incidents of people not doing this and it’s hard to keep track, we don’t always catch when url changes happen. this goes for side blogs as well!
and to touch on again the negative anons that have been circulating — please do not post them. if you receive them, and you’re uncomfortable, please turn off the anon feature for the time being. posting them only upsets others as well and perpetuates the entire situation. if this keeps happening, we may have to request members to turn their anon feature off completely, which is something we don’t want to do, considering ask games are one of the fun things we can do to interact on the dash.
if you ever have any concerns about these topics in question, please go ahead and message us off anon, or on gh at leavethecityrpg or on im, and we’ll be free to discuss them!
i’ve noticed over the past couple of days, there has been a few hateful anons targeting a few people in particular, and i just want to say: that is not accepted here, and is not okay.
if you’re at a disagreement over something, that is not the way to handle it. for the time being, i’m going to recommend those who have gotten hateful anons to turn that feature off, and if this issue continues, we may look into having it turned off for everyone to ensure a comfortable, welcoming place to be. if you need to discuss anything, or have any other worries, please feel free to message us on im here or on gh at @leavethecityrpg.
a little note to please make sure you put your muses name on your blog! this goes for both main and sideblogs. it is required, and stated in the rules! also, if you see someone else tag a post with a trigger, please use that same tag when you post it as well! just a little friendly reminder. give this a like when you’ve seen it!
hey, hi, hello! so far, i'm absolutely blown away with how fast this little home is growing. (what?!) i have a few quick updates for you all, just to get the ball rolling and so we’re all on the same page here.
the gossip blog is en route to being active soon! as a heads up, please make sure that your side-blogs have your characters name on it! this goes for your main blog as well. i've seen a few without, and it gets really confusing, really quickly. make sure to follow the gossip blog as well. we’ll have some ask games, tabloid-like posts, and probably some musing things as well down the line.
we've updated the rules slightly regarding selfies. the rules are located here, just to have a little reminder. please be cautious as to how many you're posting, you're limited 2 a week! (example: you posted on saturday, you can post another one until next saturday. on that day, the limit resets.) gif sets are not included but that does not allow you to post like five of them. once in a blue moon is okay! intro’s are included in the selfie limit as well. if i see repetitive behaviour i will hand out a warning. i’m just trying to keep things fair, my babies!
if you've read this, please give this a like so we know!
