The progression of circular arguing in a nutshell. Step one, concoct an elaborate conspiracy theory in which your fave is the victim and you are the hero. Step two, dehumanize everyone around your fave except your other fave -- actually unnecessary since he's never actually around your fave, whoops -- say that no one is doing the right thing, nobody understands the military - sorry, Louis’s needs - better than you do, and therefore only you can fix it. Step three, imitate the official channels of information delivery with just enough wriggle room for satire, parody, and creative use to avoid copyright issues.
Then, when others point out your steps one and two, progress to step four, which is that since you alone can help, any attack on you is actually an attack on Louis. But it's a circular bandsaw of wank, or, a trap. You can only believe this hurts Louis if you believe this was the only way he can be helped. Amy expects, and she will get this, that everyone understands that only this will save Louis’s career, because nobody but those who understand he's graduated from photoshop hell to doll hell to fake demon baby hell truly loves him. Here is the problem with arguing with conspiracy theorists who hide behind charitable works:
You are approaching it from the point of view that there is no amount of good deed that can negate the harm they've done through their dehumanizing, stalking, harassing, bullying behavior.
And they are approaching it from the point of view that nothing they've done is wrong.
You approach it from the point of view that they think their charitable work makes them good despite their harmful deeds, but they believe (or argue from the view that) all of their deeds WERE GOOD TO BEGIN WITH.
It's a matter of semantics. They think it's bad PR to have people talk about what they do, not that the things they do are bad. This is the world they created for themselves to prop up larrie, applied to themselves: that control of the narrative defines the worthiness of the action.
That’s why they need articles to be written about the things they do that they choose to put out into the world; and that is why we must draw public attention to the wrong they do.
