Headshot illustrations of characters from @skolomorphic's webnovel, Proof of Existence 👍
Fan Art for @jean-wei's comic, Light Through Memory. You can read all of it here. I found it very touching. I enjoy historical fiction with young protagonists; they're in the middle of something major but they're still just normal people trying to live their lives.
I also used a color palette from @royalspalettes although I brightened it up afterwards.

For the last picture, you're meant to guess who the characters are (Easy mode) :)

Empress Teishi from Sunao Katabuchi's upcoming film, The Mourning Children: Nagiko and the Girls Wearing Tsurubami Black.
When I first saw her picture, I assumed that it was Sei Shonagan dressed in fancy clothes but it was actually the lady she was waiting for!
For context, Katabuchi is going to hold an exhibition at the Tokyo National Museum where he'll go over the clothing and research materials they're using for the film. You can read about it and see my reference photo here ->
