30 Days of Character Development Meme
doin it for two of my characters because i can't pick between either of them.
Day 1: Describe your character’s relationship with their mother or their father, or both. Was it good? Bad? Were they spoiled rotten, ignored? Do they still get along now, or no?
Synemi: Her relationship is good for the most part. Both parents are still alive, however, since she is Gifted from birth, and just in general a very hard person to control, her parents do kind of spoil her. They aren't very confrontational and go with the flow usually. So she doesn't really know too much about authority, and isn't really used to people telling her what to do, though if you are forceful enough, she will do so. She, however was taught to do good things by her parents, and that bad people should always be punished. Synemi has a good relation, seeing as she still lives with them, just comes and goes whenever she pleases. Both mother and father are very easy-going.
Lucata: She doesn't talk about her past much, but suffice to say, she does not have parents as of now. Whenever she asks, they just aren't around, or she says "they are gone." Nobody knows whether this means they just left her, or they are dead. In fact, Lucata doesn't really know herself, but at the same time doesn't really care either. With all her investigating, the one thing she cares the least about is her own past. Since she didn't have any parents from a relatively young age, she became a bit of drifter. She was determined not to fit the stereotype of "street urchin" but instead used her intelligence to take odd jobs wherever she could and survive by herself. It was easier for her, since she was a desert nomad, but decided to settle in the city since she met Synemi there, and it was easier to make money in that way. Bottom line, Lucata never really had any parents, and sees no reason why she would need them.
