I Think If They Use 10% Of The Effort From Putting Caroline In Every Storyline And Screentime On Bonnie She Will Have Had At Least 4 Storyline Of Her Own In Every Season.... At This Point Her Been Still There Become Boring Like Hell Of Boring I Almost Wish Her Going More Then I Wish Jeremy Death And That Tell How Much I Bored Of Her!!!!!

No I don't think so he still has his ring, I think that Ian means that Damon wanted for Elena to become more like Katherine...but that's Ian, so...
