Luchino x Norton headcanons
In short, they are feral nerd boyfriends. They take turns but normally Norton is the more feral one and Luchino is the more nerd one. Norton can never truly match Luchino’s level of nerd. Luchino is only feral for obvious reasons, it only gets bad sometimes. Norton is just truly feral deep down.
They love each other but are terrible at dating. If either one of them was a normal person then the relationship would probably be screwed. Good thing they don’t care about how weird they are. They can get really awkward when actually trying to be romantic as well.
Norton thinks Luchino is comfortable to cuddle with, which is good for Luchino because he’s cold blooded and Norton is warm.
Speaking of being cold blooded, Luchino likes sunbathing sometimes. Norton joins him occasionally but never stays long because he decides, although it’s good for you, he does not like heat on his face. Instead he just watches Luchino from the shadows like a weirdo, probably breaking open some geodes or something.
They are both science nerds btw. Luchino loves biology while Norton loves geology. Luchino grows a garden and Norton gets a rock garden and Luchino doesn’t really get it but it looks nice so he doesn’t say anything. Norton feels like the plants are stealing their water which Luchino understands even less.
Even when Luchino starts to get a little feral, he’s pretty gentle and sweet with Norton. He just gets weird and like. Licks him. And also won’t let go of him.
Norton, however, is truly feral, and will bite Luchino. Luchino’s skin is pretty tough, especially where there’s scales, so it doesn’t really hurt, it just deeply confuses Luchino. Every time Luchino tries asking why he does it, Norton responds by biting him, so we may never know why. He just likes it. Luchino finds it really interesting and kinda cute so it doesn’t bother him.
Luchino can be as weird-feral-lizard-man as he wants and it will NOT bother Norton because he is just THAT naturally feral. Sometimes Luchino thinks back to the things he’s done and thinks, “oh man that was weird why did I do that,” then remembers how Norton responded to it and goes “okay actually that was kinda weirder... guess I don’t need to apologize...?” It certainly helps Luchino be himself, and Norton’s glad Luchino can’t judge him as well.
Norton can and will climb Luchino. Also every time Luchino stands up straight Norton dies somewhere in the world cuz god dam he is tall
They both take turns going “I’m such a monster...” “YOU?? A MONSTER?? LMAO BRO NO YOU AINT”. They do both have pretty good reasons for calling themselves monsters tho so they try to help each other out with changing.
Norton has now learned to share the water with the plants, despite Luchino and Norton not getting anything in return. Luchino just practices not going totally feral and violent and, if he does, just go somewhere where he can’t hurt anyone.
They also both go “I’m so hideous” “what no I love the way you look” and it just. STILL CONFUSES LUCHINO LIKE BRO AT LEAST UR STILL HUMAN. Yet Norton is still equally as self-loathing about his appearance as Luchino is AND equally as confident about Luchino looking good as Luchino is about Norton’s looks. So it really confuses him because the whole GIANT LIZARD MAN thing doesn’t seem to affect Norton. It makes him feel better tho. Just also confusing.
Of course at first Norton was like “h that’s a giant lizard man” but as he got to know Luchino he saw that he was just a science nerd who got mutated. So that’s what he saw him as, instead of some monster. Although not on such a large scale, Norton feels like he can relate in some way to being “mutated”
HOWEVER IF YOU THROW IN A HC I HAVE THEN NORTON IS ACTUALLY MUTATED AS WELL JUST ONCE AGAIN NOT ON SUCH A LARGE SCALE- *shot*
Anyways. Long story short. Biology/geology science nerd feral couple that are really hecking weird but love each other.
