When The Jigsaw Seen were recording "Bananas Foster" at their office/studio space near Universal Studios, Arthur Lee was living at the motel next door. Dennis and Jonathan would see Arthur walking around the neighborhood (and at Ernie's Taco House) and occasionally chat with him. He seemed very grateful that The Jigsaw Seen had recorded his song "Luci Baines" for Del-Fi Records, calling them "the boys that did my song."
