It was as easy as handing over a stack of papers. His gloved fingers caressing her hands as he took the documents into his own. It was no longer than a second, but that little moment made her heart flip. Even more so the longer she thought about it.
Lucifer's not prone to making accidents. He makes it a habit to be as perfect as possible. Every little thing he does is with a purpose. It makes her think if this one accident wasn't just that. How embarrassed would she be if it were nothing more than a mistake.
So she asked him and all he does is smirk. Would you have wanted it to be more than just a mistake, he ask. Her face reacts against her better judgement, heat blooming at her cheeks as she shyly shakes her head. Of course it's what she wants but she doesn't want to get her hopes too high.
