Carol cocked her head at the voice that shouted out to her. The nightclub was dark and hazy, but she managed to pinpoint the caller. She walked over to him, eyes sparkling. “Blasphemer?” she repeated. “Now that’s the nicest thing I’ve been called in a long while,” she noted. “I’m sure you meant it as a compliment,” she continued. “Otherwise I might have to introduce your face to the floor here, buddy, and that’s just gonna ruin the night for everyone.”

“That is... a very good policy,” Clint agreed, frowning a little. He wasn’t sure what to make of this guy just yet. He seemed to be the only person in this entire club who still had his head on straight, and he was enjoying it. Clint had zeroed in on him instantly, but he thought he’d have to work a little harder to strike up a conversation. “Lucky for me, I don’t think I have one of those anymore,” he quipped, picking up his drink.
