Soft snores fill the Black Bull's living room. A rare peaceful moment. Looking down, you carefully run your fingers through Luck's soft blonde hair, mindful not to tug on any tangles. His nose twitches similar to a bunny as Luck mumbles incoherently in his sleep.
The front door slams open, colliding loudly with the wall. You were certain there would be a new hole there once the door was closed.
"I can't believe that happened! The way he practically folded. Real men-" Magna shouts, walking in with Asta and Captain Yami hot on his trail. The three loud mouths of the Black Bulls.
Great.
"Shut up, will ya?" You growl, careful not to wake the sleeping lightning mage. He hadn't been sleep well recently, with the news that his mom's health was declining. "If you wake him, I will kill each of you. Slowly and painfully."
Yami growls, his dark purple aura crackling around you. You roll his eyes at the clear attempt of intimidation. Sad. He's gotten lame. "Listen here brat, this is my base and I'm your captain. You can't tell me-"
Smoke appears around him, your grey grimoire floating menacingly beside you, open to a brand new page. "Would you like to test my new trick, captain. It's acid smoke." Yami rolls his eyes, puffing smoke out. "Whatever kid. No need to be dramatic. Anyways, I need to shit."
Luck rolls over, shoving his face into your stomach. His arm curls around your abdomen. "Shh, you're alright."
Using your distraction to their advantage, the three of them run away. Yet you don't notice, your attention solely focused on the boy in your lap. "Sleep tight, my sweet lightning bolt."

a/n: i do indeed take those requests, bru that is so cute coming right up 🫡
Synopsis: A horrifying nightmare has captured your mind in your sleep. You wake up sweating in a panic, reaching out for someone to comfort you..
Genre; fluff 🤭
Luck
You both were sleeping soundly in your shared room at the headquarters, Luck holding you gently as he nuzzled his face into your nape.
Your body twitches as you sweat throughout the nightmare, jolting awake panting. Tears well up in your eyes as you recall the unsettling nightmare that you just witnessed. You turn to Luck tugging at the collar of his shirt, he slowly blinks his eyes open pulling you close. “why are you up?..” His voice is laced with a hint of concern as you woke him up at an ungodly hour. “I had a nightmare..” He looks up at you and pulls you into his neck and caresses your back. “Do you wanna talk about it?” I shake my head in silence, muffled sniffles heard throughout the room.
He understands your chosen silence and pats your head soothingly to avert your attention away from the nightmare. A light kiss is pressed against the crown of your head and soon.. your breaths are slowed. The sound of his heartbeat putting you to sleep.
Hiiiii so I was wonder if I could request luck voltia and Nahoya kawata (smiley) finding their s/o sleeping in the weirdest place. I’m in love with insane people don’t judge me 😪✋
Notes: this is my first request with a Black Clover character and I'm so happy about it tbh! But...I don't really know Nahoya's character well enough since I've only watched the anime so I ended up not writing his. Sorry!
Warnings: slight spoilers of Luck's backstory.

A small chuckle slipped past Luck's lips as he collapsed on the ground beside Magna.
The two had been training with each other for the greater part of that afternoon, yet somehow, even as his muscles ached with exhaustion, Luck found that he was still buzzing with energy.
One glance to the side made it clear that Magna was in no shape to even hold a steady conversation much less continue sparring.
The sight would have usually pushed Luck to continue annoying his best friend, but instead he found himself pushing away from the forest floor to busy himself with something of more importance.
You.
"Oi, where are you off to?"
"To find my dear darling."
Magna snorted at his reply, somehow impossibly sinking further into the tree trunk he chose to lean against.
"Yeah good luck with that."
Luck didn't bother to stick around much after that, already tapping into his magic to speed through the forest until the familiar rooftops of Black Bull's headquarters was in sight.
However, just as he was about to race towards the front gate, Luck found himself coming to a stop and practically stumbling over his own feet as he stared at the top half of the house in bewilderment.
You were sleeping on the roof.
The roof that only had a thin slab of straight concrete before surrounded by a slope on either end.
The sight had Luck recoiling in shock and gawking as he took in your slumbering form, noticing how even from such a distance, your typically vibrant clothes were enough for him to recognise you.
It was only when you turned in your sleep and got dangerously close to the slope that Luck finally found it in himself to start moving.
The way he jumped from one window of the house to the other would have probably looked comical to most, but Luck didn't care, not when the only thing he could think of was the possibility of you falling.
It was only when he landed on the roof right below your feet that Luck finally allowed himself a small sigh of relief, with his arms almost automatically reaching to wrap around you.
You were too deep of a sleeper to notice the change in your position, but somehow as Luck hoisted you up in his arms he felt your hands almost automatically clench around his cloak.
The sight had him cooing as Luck noticed your sudden affinity to a baby, one who he apparently had to protect.
"Aw, sleep darling. I'll take care of you!"
Luck placed a small peck on your forehead as he spoke, and then another on the bridge of your nose and corner of your mouth until he had to physically pull himself away from you.
He just couldn't help it. After all, you were too cute!
But that didn't excuse how dangerous it was to fall asleep on a place like the front roof, especially since you could have rolled off, or worse, been injured by another mage or animal.
The mere thought made Luck's smile strain as his grip on you subconsciously tightened, making him speed the two of you back to his room before his thoughts could get the better of him.
You were the most beautiful thing Luck had ever seen, but as he set you down on his bed and gently took a seat beside you, he couldn't help but feel a sense of apprehension.
"I'll protect you. I'll make you happy...just like my mother."
Luck didn't even realise he had spoken out loud until you turned onto your side, with your form curling around his and hand almost wrapping around the arm still resting on your waist.
The sight made him coo as the blond got in the bed beside you, with a silly smile forming on his face as Luck gathered you in his arms.
He was in love.
Luck didn't know how finding you asleep on the rooftop was what it took to make him realise his feelings, but as he buried his face in your neck and allowed himself to start dozing off, he couldn't help but feel grateful.
Maybe your weird sleeping habits weren't so bad after all.

His thoughts racing, Luck leaned forward, fists landing on the common room table. Magna, sitting across from him, jumped a little. “Something wrong buddy?” He asked, in Magna’s memory, he had never seen Luck like this before. “I just… How do you make someone fall for you?” Luck asked, pouting. Magna blinked in surprise, that was the last question he’d been expecting from his battle-loving friend. “Huh? Well I guess, you just… kind of do?” Luck looked at him incredulously, sitting up to lean back in his chair, “What kind of an answer is that? Some help you are, I should have known better than to ask someone just as alone as I am.”
Luck paid no attention to Magna’s protests as Finral came rushing towards him. “Did I hear that Luck has some questions about love? Well look no further! I am the Love Master after all.” He rolled his eyes, doubtful Finral could be helpful in any capacity but nodded for him to continue nonetheless. “The secret in wooing someone is to get to know them, their interests, things like that.” Luck nodded thoughtfully, tapping the table with his index finger. “Well, I think I have that covered. And I’ve shown Y/N how cool I can be, but no dice so far.” Finral and Magna exchanged a shocked glance, Luck had a crush on Y/N?! Taking note of their shocked expressions, Luck’s pout deepened. “What?” he whined, “Is it really that strange? I think Y/N is a great person, and I really want to spend more time together.”
Magna reached out to pat his shoulder, “No, it’s not that, buddy. It’s just, have you ever had a crush before?” Luck shrugged, “I don’t know, I’ve never really thought about it before.” After Magna and Finral had thoroughly grilled him about his feelings, Luck was left feeling awkward and a little upset. He felt as if his friends had been focused on the shock factor of it all rather than actually helping him with his feelings.
He went outside to pace around a little, and ended up walking around the hideout, kicking rocks as he went along. His friends’ words echoed in his mind, “Well, one good way to make anyone fall for you is to take them somewhere scary, the adrenaline rush will have them leaping into your arms in no time!” Finral said. Magna nodded enthusiastically, “Uh-huh, uh-huh! And there’s that carnival this weekend right? There’s got to be a haunted house there. You should take Y/N there.” Luck was still feeling conflicted, even though now he did have some semblance of a plan.
“Luck? What are you doing out here?” Luck stiffened at your voice, and turned to you, heart beating at a million miles an hour. “O-oh nothing! What are you doing out here?” He asked, awkwardly hitting his fists together. He’s acting weird today… You cocked your head to stare at him but didn’t press the issue further, “I just got back from the market. Want to help me put these things away?” To your delight, he nodded and followed you inside, taking a few bags from your arms.
While in the kitchen, you could feel the nervous energy coming off of Luck in waves. You watched as he tried to subtly glance at you every so often, it was making you feel nervous. You set an item down on the counter rather forcefully and Luck winced. “Did I do something wrong?” You asked, “Are you mad at me or something?” Luck’s eyes widened in shock, “What? No way. I’m just feeling off today is all.” You didn’t turn to face him as you put something in a cabinet, “I see. Well, will you tell me what’s wrong?”
Luck frowned, the last thing he wanted was to hurt your feelings, but he also wasn’t sure if he was willing to tell you the truth just yet. “To tell you the truth, I’ve been feeling kind of conflicted lately.” You turned around, leaning on the counter, “Oh, is that so? What about?” “Well I’ve been wanting to ask someone something but I’m not sure if they’ll say yes or not.” You hoped he couldn’t hear how fast your heart was beating. Is this a love confession? “Oh. Well I’d say your best bet is to just ask and get it over with, you’ll never know until you try right?”
He nodded thoughtfully, “That makes sense.” After a moment, his whole demeanor changed and he perked up, “Well in that case. Y/N? Do you want to go to the carnival with me this weekend?” Your cheeks heated up like 10,000 suns in that moment. “Uh-- uh, sure. I’d love to.” You stammered, whipping around to finish your task of putting things from the market away, then leaving the kitchen, trying to ignore Magna and Finral scrambling away as you walked through the doorway. You lay awake that night, mulling over what him asking you could possibly mean.
The carnival soon arrived and you and Luck headed into the capital city, arms nowhere near touching. The beginning of the date was awkward at best, Luck felt like all the words from his mouth were coming out wrong. His compliments didn’t land, his acts like opening doors and holding your drinks ended in failure when something was inevitably spilled or walked into.
As you sat at a table for an early dinner, Luck looked uncharacteristically nervous; the normally cheerful yet frenzied lightning mage was stumbling over his words and wiping sweaty hands on his pants. You couldn’t push the sinking feeling from your chest any longer, you didn’t know what the motive was behind Luck asking you here today, but everything just felt wrong. “Tell me, why did you ask me here today, Luck?” You asked, fixing your gaze on his.
Luck wanted to look away, with everything in him, but there was something in your eyes that entranced him; it pulled him in like a fish on a hook. “I-I.” He stuttered, mouth suddenly drier than it had ever been. “I don’t appreciate feeling used, Voltia. If you wanted a laugh at my expense couldn’t you have done it some other way?” You continued, making his eyes widen in shock. “Is that what you think this is?” He asked, a frown creasing his forehead. You nodded shortly, tears pricking in your eyes.
Luck sighed, taking a moment to collect his thoughts, “Honestly Y/N, I asked you here today because I have feelings for you, I think.” You nearly choked; Luck had feelings for you? Before you could reply a booth attendant walked by, “Attention everyone! The Haunted House is closing soon, please hurry if you want to go!” Luck caught your eye and you nodded, both eager for a break from the awkward conversation.
You made your way to where the haunted house booth was set up, hearts pounding in anticipation. “Sure you’re not scared? Last chance to turn back.” You lightly teased, an olive branch to lighten the mood. Luck accepted it gratefully, scoffing, “Me, scared? Never.” Shrugging in affirmation, you walked into the pitch darkness together.
It was hard to see inside, only dim ambient light served to guide your way. As you walked, something grabbed onto your sleeve, making you jump. “Oh sorry,” Luck whispered, “It’s only me.” “Don’t scare me like that!” You whispered back, but you realized something, Luck was shaking and it seemed like it was actual fear rather than anticipation. Lightly, you shifted your arm up and grabbed his hand, squeezing it reassuringly. You couldn’t see it in the dark, but Luck was bright red from your actions, heart pounding from how close you were.
Several jump scares later, you made it through the haunted house and you were finally back on safe ground once more. Embracing the fact that you had made it out alive, you didn’t notice for a moment that you were still holding hands. You quickly dropped your hands, cheeks warm. “That was… scarier than I realized.” Luck admitted, running his fingers through his blonde locks. You let out a laugh, clenching and unclenching your hand, “Yeah, you had a death grip on my hand the whole time.” Luck’s blush deepened, “Sorry about that.” You shook your head, a small smile on your face, “No it’s okay. I found it a little endearing honestly, it felt like I got to see the real you.”
Luck smiled for the first time all day, “Well that’s great to hear.” You began your journey back home in comfortable silence, hands brushing slightly as you walked to where your brooms were. Before you took off, Luck scooted his broom closer to you. “I’m sorry today didn’t go very well Y/N. I hope you can forgive me and give me a second chance.” He said, looking down at his feet. “I really do like you.” He finished, almost too low for you to hear. You took a breath and decided to make a move, gently intertwining your fingers with his, you leaned in, pulling him close, “I just might take you up on that.” You pulled away at the last second and took off, leaving him dizzy with his feet still on the ground.
He shook his head with a smile, somehow instead of you falling for him, he’d fallen for you all over again.

Characters involved: Luck Voltia
Gender-neutral reader, you/yours
You both meet in high school.
He's the golden boy of your grade; the one who everyone seemed to like regardless of their status or aesthetic.
There's just something about his smiles and charm that had the whole school revolving around Luck like mere planets to his sun.
Everyone fell for his good boy who's perfect and always happy front, but not you. You could see the way his perfect smile would crack and hear the heavy sighs he would often let out after days spent laughing and pretending to be constantly happy.
It wasn't all fake. You knew Luck was actually one of the few people who were almost always optimistic.
He just had his moments too, but no one else seemed to realise that.
Your concerns for the situation and his mental health had been quickly shot down by those around you, and you were almost ready to move on from your speculations until one day after school when Luck himself was leaning against your locker waiting to talk to you.
You thought he would be mad you were ruining his reputation or something, but he had really just been relieved in a way that was sadder than anything else.
The two of you had quickly grown close to one another. So much so that you had been labelled as the sun and moon of your high school.
He was the cheerful golden retriever of a friend, and you were the realistic yet caring black cat who was always there for him but never showed it.
It started with the two of you sending each other memes and relatable videos on social media and ranting about your lives but pretending not to know each other in school to being suddenly hugged from the back in the middle of the hallway as a familiar giggle floated to your ears.
The physical affection had certainly taken some time to get used to, but you had eventually come to appreciate Luck's touch, even missing it on the days when life got a little too overwhelming.
He would stay back after school with you on the days you had your clubs and you would watch all of his races and tease him about how serious he was as track captain.
Nobody cared much about your friendship, if anything, they seemed happy the two people who were always friends with everyone but never really anyone's favourite had found each other.
And you were happy.
Until you realized you had gotten a little too happy.
Until his touches started leaving a hot trail across your skin as you squirmed in a way that was more endearing than annoyed. Until you started showing up to his races because you wanted to, not because he would drag you to them and force Magna to watch over you.
You had fallen for Luck Voltia. And surprisingly, he had fallen for you too.
At first, the two of you were stupid enough to avoid each other and start to grow distant, but that was quickly fixed by a little intervention from your friends.
Dating Luck was certainly an adventure.
He was always so cute and cuddly; constantly seeking your touch and affirmation throughout the day to the point where you had gotten used to almost constantly holding his hand in school.
But his touches were always so sweet in a way that was nothing like the perverted lingering touch of the average teenage boy. For he always sought out affection and not an out to satisfy his lust.
He loved doing all the cliche things others would find cringy, like making you wear his track jacket or 'dedicating' a race to you, which really just meant he screamed out your name saying he would win against Magna for you.
But there were also the mellow days when he would rest against your shoulder and silently watch you get lost in your studies and hobbies as he tried to use your company to escape his life for a bit.
Spontaneity was a big part of your relationship and you often found yourself being awoken by your ringtone and the sound of an excited Luck ready to drag you to a new place he found at ungodly hours.
He never talked much about his family or what he wanted to do in the future, choosing to ignore everything but the present.
Some might have called it escapism, but you saw it as living in the moment; something you wished you could allow yourself to do rather than stressing over the expectations every teenager is weighed down by.
Most might have thought it was you who would support Luck, but none of them saw the way he would so willingly take care of you. How he would remind you of the smallest things like eating and sleeping.
How Luck was your rock in the storm of your life.
The two of you were perfect for each other in a way high school romances could never be. And as you graduated together, you couldn't help but hope that your bond would continue even past your teenage years.
