Today was very much a Monday. Putzed around, started a couple projects, and tried out working with new round stock sizes. Also was very lucky today. 2lb cross peen hammer head came off at the top of a backswing. Best guess is that it flew 15 to 20 up in the air and then landed 6 inches to the left of my left foot. Took a full 2 or 3 seconds to land. This is why you don't use hammers with a fiberglass handle. I need to start wearing a helmet.

After I had bought 250 acres of land in the New Land, I needed slaves to do the heavy work. At first I had purchased 29 Indentured servants from England to work for 3 years. After the 3 years, the slaves would be granted their freedom. Therefore I had to think ahead for the future of my plantation. Who would work on the plantation and gather the wheat? Thank the lord for the Bristol Ship’s landing in 1684. This large ship from African states brought 150 negro slaves in which I successfully purchased 57. There weren't many people in Pennsylvania that had slaves, even my neighbors didn't have any slaves.
