(Adult) Barnaby and Lucy.

This is just a watercolour sketch and a study so those designs are not final (especially Barnaby's). And the girl on the right is supposed to be an original character of mine, but I realised that I didn't draw Lucy before, so I changed the OC's hairstyle and colour palette into Lucy's. However, I didn't change her expressions, so it looks like Lucy is smitten to Barnaby lmao =)))))

And excuse Lucy's left hand, I suck at them ;)

Accidentally answered this ask privately so… here it is for everyone!! I was asked how the big kids might look like as ponies. Their cutie marks and special talents are honestly just based on headcanons of mine.

Lucy’s special talent is kind of ambiguous because I’m still figuring that out myself lol. I think it would be something to do with creativity. I can’t see her losing her childlike wonder as she gets older. I can see her being a daring doo kinda character who writes stories about her escapades or just fantastical stories in general.

Bright Hoof lives with her farming family out in the countryside. But she schools in the city, which is where she met her friends.

Yasmin’s special talent is growing and caring for plants, especially flowers. But she uses her talent to make perfumes, elixirs, colognes, and essential oils.

Soliflore comes from a family of scholars. They are a pretty well off family and they live in the more high end areas of the city. She grows up to study botany and she uses her knowledge to help her with her work. She likes bonsai trees.

Last but not least, Katie! Her special talent is filmmaking. She likes digging her hooves in multiple roles in the film industry but so far, she really likes directing, lighting, and screenwriting.

Dolly comes from a family of tradesponies. I think she would’ve lived in a Pegasus only society for much of her childhood before moving down to the city where she would meet her friends!

Headcanon:

Lucy’s dad used to read Narnia and Middle Earth (LoTR and The Hobbit) during his younger days, that’s why when he became a father he decided to name Lucy based on, well, Lucy! (Well, Narnia’s Lucy if he ought to be inspired or smth like that idk)

Not to mention both Lucies kinda share the same personality
