WIP Not Wednesday
Okay so I had to miss WIP Wednesday yesterday so take this snippet as an apology. It’s from the next chapter of “a shame without a sin.” There is a flashback with Harvey and his mother.
“It’s not fair!”
“I know, Harvey.”
“Murray’s the one who couldn’t keep quiet. He’s the one who broke the rules.”
“I know, honey. Your brother is…blessed with a lot of energy. Just like how you’re very bright and that means I know I can rely on you. He’ll learn to manage it, but for now I need you to keep an eye on him. Keep him out of trouble. Okay?”
“...okay mom.”
Yeah, if you may have noticed in chapter 1, Murray has (unfortunately undiagnosed) ADHD that he and his family struggled to manage. Harvey is also neurodivergent but as he’s not displaying the same levels of hyperactivity, he gets called ‘bright’ and ‘mature for his age’. And that’s on top of the OTHER stuff happening in the Dent household which aren’t exactly contributing to my man’s mental health.
