Context: When lucy was 11 years old, he left without telling anyone, to the big city thanks to his mom getting a better job. The day he left on the train, Manuel (the one with like antennas) came last minute, screaming at him to not go but it was too late.
Years later, when he comes through a new of the 50 anniversary of the town he used to live in, out of pure impulse, he decides to come back, returning to the people he missed the most and also felt guilty through the years after he left.
When he was a kid, he was in love with Manuel, but even as a kid he knew that both him and Amaro liked each other that way so, he felt angry, frustrated and jealous of their bond and mutual affection.
Now that he's in town again, he sees this once more, facing (again) those ugly and awful feelings once he sees the one he loves being in love with who used to be his best friend, facing how they both look at each other with the most hopeless affection.
