The Major Way Israel Is Putting America To Shame On Marijuana
Israel has long been at the forefront of marijuana research, and the country is budding into a hub for cannabis-related startup companies, Quartz reported.
Crowds from around the globe flocked to Tel Aviv in March for the second annual CannaTech conference. The summit was aimed at attracting fledgling marijuana ventures to the country and included speakers from medicine, politics, science,…

recuerdo caminar frente a iglesias
& jardines verdes esperando que tocara la banda de Evan
de pie junto a su madre
que me odiaba & sentir como si una parte
de mi vida parara en la mitad
de New Jersey. esto también, un tipo de océano
no es un crimen recordar
mitad de la metáfora
o dejar a tu esposa
& llevarte el refrigerador contigo
qué terrible no morimos
& regreso nuestros padres

7a. theory of dead fish
By Lucy Tiven (US)
I can be at home in the reservoir
dolphins disappear into & when I found
the blue bong Dad kept in the drawer I thought
it was a fishtank he was saving for my birthday
as if longing had a bottom you could get to
I remember walking past churches
& green lawns waiting for Evan’s band to play
standing next to his mother
who hated me & feeling like a part
of my life stopped in the middle
of New Jersey. this too, a kind of ocean
it is not a crime to remember
half the metaphor
or to leave your wife
& take the refrigerator with you
how terrible we do not die
& come back our fathers

some things ppl have said of book:
“I don’t think anyone has any business writing poetry unless they have the ability to see the world in an entirely new way. Lucy Tiven has this, and then some. (Plus she’s really funny.)” - Juliet Escoria
“Lucy Tiven's enticingly schizophrenic Dysplasia fjords the uncanny valley between eBay and the author's cervix like a friend you wish would never age. "I'm sorry / I spilled soup on your keyboard," she admits, but goddamn if it's not by 100% direly refreshing.” - Blake Butler
"I like Lucy Tiven's poetry collection because there's a quote from Eileen Myles at the beginning and i've had a crush on Eileen Myles ever since i saw the Cool for You cover even though i'm not sure the woman on the cover is Eileen. Also, I like Lucy Tiven's poetry collection (i can't remember the title or the title was a word i didn't know or too long of a word or something) because Lucy seems smart and funny like me and the poems reference things i can relate to like where someone was when Michael Jackson died (having sex with 'you') and being in a sanitarium with Alice Cooper and because she titled a poem 'Cul-de-sac.' i just love the word 'Cul-de-sac' because it's so suburban." - Elizabeth Ellen
