Ludd releases new single 'Insomniac'
The songwriter and producer of hip hop known as Ludd has released his latest official single, “Insomniac.” The single has been proudly published as an independent release without the involvement of the corporate music industry on the Dbl3 Entertainment record label. Contemporary, slick, “Insomniac” showcases Ludd as one of the most intriguing East Coast hip-hop artists of the year so far and promises that he has plenty more where that came from.
Asked to cite some main artistic influences, Philadelphia's Ludd cites as main artistic influences only PnB Rock (“Fleek,” “Selfish”), also local to the area. Like PnB, Ludd's own studio sound is hyper-contemporary and will appeal to a broad audience. His sing-song cadence, clever lines and rhymes, and smooth delivery with elements of RnB invite listeners of a variety of genres. With an emphasis on its danceable groove and upbeat energy, “Insomniac” is an exciting introduction to this new artist from Philly.
Asked to describe the overall meaning of “Insomniac,” Ludd writes, “I'm just a young guy with a big dream to make it in music. Ever since I was little, all I ever wanted to do was be a rock star.”
Since that long-ago time, Ludd has made his way to ever larger stages. His 2017 Coast 2 Coast Tour is still available for viewing at YouTube, while other live appearances also grace his popular Instagram account (link provided below).
“I wanna show kids that if you believe in yourself and you're willing to work hard,” Ludd writes, “you can accomplish anything. I've been blessed already in my young career to have been around some local stars in the Philadelphia area.”
As for his goals as an artist? Ludd pays at least as much attention to his stage performance as he does his studio chops.
“I'm just focused on myself right now,” says Ludd, “just wanting to give the fans great music and a killer show when I perform. I have a lot of new music on the way – videos and shows coming up!”
“Insomniac” by Ludd on the Dbl3 Entertainment label is available from over 600 quality digital music stores online worldwide now. Get in early, hip-hop fans.
