Lilget my beloved
The reason why I ship Nugget and Lily so much is because there IS so much to chew on, like the start of their relationship was awkward as shit (Love letter scene). Nugget pulls some evil stuff that he has to hide from her (Referring to monstermon endings and the principal shot scene). Lily basically called Nugget a vegetable at one point in the first game . She learns to accept him, understands he can be useful and trusts him (Lily gave Nugget the monstermon plushie). Still poofs her even if she is friends with him in the second game, reasons are unknown for that action, could've been merciful, an accidental or straight up because he can.
In the third game he is the nicest to her he has ever been and Lily's patience with him is of a saint honestly, consuls him at the end of the mission as well when he is breaking down. Nugget returns the favour by being compliant with the missions, even if he takes the opportunity to be affectionate as he can with her which is distracting. Lily is having a good effect on Nugget and Nugget is having a good effect on Lily. Lily in the third game doesn't die in the monstermon ending. (She might be alive in the first one, due to the principal not having blood on his sprite, it's still a death sentence to send her there.)
It's honestly sweet seeing Nugget go from someone who is self-loathing and angry all the time, to someone who can actually be sweet and enjoy someone's company without it being transactional. Same with Lily, being so reserved and rude (People seem to forget that Lily wasn't that shy, she was flat out rude to the Protag.) to someone who gives second chances and is a born leader. Thanks for reading my ramble, I had to put this somewhere before I blew up. I like when they are fluffy, but I also like when they are having the worst time of their lives with each other.
I think a headcannon for Lilget/Lugget I like is that Lily can say some dumb things and Nugget just deadpans her. She’s of course a big brain in planning and a born leader, but she can still be silly because she’s 5. While Nugget is proven to have his wise moments and even calls the player dumb indirectly in the second game. Basically imagine Lily saying a word she doesn’t know quite the meaning off and Nugget is just ‘🤨’.
Played the whole of Kindergarten 3, Nugget-o and Lily-et was like a welcome jumpscare, I squeeled @doodgiee can confirm.
Surprised at the redemption arc Nugget is going through, it’s sweet and Lily is so focused on helping as if she is the cop from hot fuzz. 10/10, the ship has sailed beyond the expectations.
