A week away. I'm freaking out.
One week to go until the Paris Theatre screening. And things have gotten real. Let's talk about it.
I've been slowly building up to things. Mapping my route to the theatre, checking the weather, and making final tweaks to the necessary documents. I've even been going through the first season of Wednesday to look for some last-second to my work. I thought I was ready.
But then, as I was enjoying a post-work Starbucks drink, I got this Twitter notification:
THIS IS NOT A DRILL! I thought that my script, somehow floating to Jenna's people, was a pipe dream. And there was a random Twitter account saying she'd be in NYC the day before to do Seth Meyers. But she's gonna be there...the chances have gone from, like, 0.01% to a solid 1%, people!
I'm hoping to get into the cast arrival event. I put in a ticket request at 1iota for myself and my friend, Alex, who's gonna help me with this whole script thing. So maybe I'll get into that. But if not, there's still the screening...which I realize I'm not guaranteed to get into, but at least the pass offers me the chance.
My heart is beating like a drum. I'm trying not to have a panic attack. This is what I've been building toward for a month now. And now, things feel...real.
Thoughts? Questions about my sanity?
