Lukas Sharp v. Kristian Frost
Vladimir Joseph vs Alex Cypher vs Bandido Jr vs Lukas Sharp (4-way Elimination Match/CTWE Heavyweight Championship) - CTWE
A Great Wrestling Weekend
Another fantastic wrestling weekend has come to a close. Kicked things off by going to Fairfield, on Friday, for some IWE action and it turned out to be a tremendous show. Mark Moment vs. Eddie Edwards in a Fans Bring The Weapons Match was easily the highlight of the weekend and a fantastic match. Another highlight of the night was seeing a returning Lukas Sharp teaming up with another very talented wrestler, JT Dunn, who just recently competed for Chikara in their Young Lions Cup Tournament. They took on the team of Scotty Vegas and Viper The Ninja in a very good match, minus one slip up from Viper. The only damper on the night was when someone put thumbtacks into the ring when it was made clear by both, Eddie and Mark, that they didn't want to use them. Something was set to take place after the match but with the addition of the unwanted tacks, did not end up happening. After that, the fun continued as myself, along with my brother and my good friends Roy, Marco, Randy, The Captain & Cheryl enjoyed a tremendous meal at the Purple Cow restaurant. I know I speak for everyone as I say we all look forward to going back to Fairfield again, for next month's show.
Then the wrestling weekend continued on Saturday for more IWE Wrestling in Brewer. The show, while it wasn't AS good as the show Friday night, was still a good show non-the less. Gino Martino continued his dominance as the IWE Heavyweight Champion, defeating Gene Geroux to retain the title. At this point, it seems that nobody can stop the "Extreme Strongman" but Mark Moment will certainly try his hand at it in a couple weeks, as he will challenge Gino for the title, in a Falls Count Anywhere Match, that will be officiated by special guest referee, former tag team partner of Gino Martino, Johnny Primer. Speaking of Moment though, he once again shined for the 2nd straight night, putting on match of the night again, this time with "203's Finest" Lukas Sharp. That was definitely one hell of a match. And one more highlight for myself was seeing a returning "Gladiator" John Poe making his return to the IWE after quite a while of not seeing him around these parts. He's always looked impressive, being a towering monster of a man with scars on his body. I really hope that he continues to make his presence known in the IWE for the foreseeable future.
So all in all, it was a great weekend of wrestling and hanging out with good friends. I always love and look forward to these kinds of weekends. Simply can't beat it!
