After months of waiting the Kookaburra's team for the Olympics has finally been picked.
I am so happy and proud for the 16 that just had their dreams come true (although they found out privately on friday...so there dreams came true then I guess :P)! I just can't imagine the joy they are feeling, but also the sadness at having to leave some of their closest friends behind. The team Ric Charlesworth chose is a brilliant one, because lets face it, every single one of them are absolute guns on the hockey field. I have no doubt they they will go to London and bring home the GOLD!!!!
Down to the sad stuff.. I'm kinda really gutted Luke Doerner didn't get picked. And surprised Rob Hammond also was left out. Those two have been apart of the team for aggges and its hard to think that they might have just missed out on their last olympics. I hope they arn't taking it to hard, because they should be proud of what they've achieved. And their career aint over yet!
Anyway, the Kookaburra's are my team...and I think they are all brilliant athletes and amazing people. I can't wait to watch them blow the competition away at the Olympics.
Thats all till tomorrow when the women's team get's announced!!!!
