Chris Siegel, a production artist from Milwaukee who’s also one half of electronic duo Kiings, serves up sublime sonic euphoria on his new single I Can’t, featuring enchanting vocals by fellow Wisconsinite, lulunah. Her voice flitters whimsically over a bed of celestial future beats and Sylvan Esso like vocal loops. Though I Can’t is an airy effervescent dalliance, it also packs it in on the emotion, being the disconsolate breakup song that it is. With its playful glimmers and resilient bounces, Siegel and lulunah give us the strength we need to power forth through the turbulent affairs of our hearts.
