Another commission piece that I’ve done for someone by the name of LuluReads! He approached me to do his persona after he saw my other drawings with the splash effect on the previous drawing of MrCreepyPasta and Samurai Jack!
It was a fun drawing this and loved the end result of the piece! I really liked doing the splash effects on this and so did Lulu!
He’s an awesome guy and also a friend of mine!
LuluReads is also a narrator so if you want to check his content on his youtube channel! He’s a pretty cool guy and would appreciate if you could check it out!
If you guys want a commission from me, be sure to check out the link to my commission page to see how you can get a drawing from me!
Enjoy!

For a long time I have only read science books that focus on the breakthrough ideas and principles within a particular field. Books like Stephan Hawking’s A Brief History of Time and Brian Greene’s The Elegant Universe. These books centered around exploring Einstein’s Theories of General and Special Relativity, Quantum Mechanics, String Theory, etc. But they never really discussed the scientists themselves and the very long journey many of these thinkers embarked on in order to even reach their breakthrough ideas in the first place. Although there would be moments where a set of unique circumstances that lead to a scientific discovery would be shared and personal respects would be given to truly remarkable thinkers, those moments would be brief. I think what I appreciate about Feynman’s Lost Lectures is that the book seeks to explain the logic behind Feynman’s invention of quantum electrodynamics but also seeks to tell the story of how he made such a remarkable discovery. It combines the science, which is fascinating already on its own, with a good story. And I would never turn down a good story.
p.s. I am fully aware of Feynman’s history with harassment and even in this book there are moments where women are spoken of in ways that are not at all appropriate. Nevertheless, I do still think his discoveries and the story behind them is quite fascinating. It’s just unfortunate that you can’t fully separate a man from his creations.
books i'm reading 2K15 (so far)
comics! all comics! i still have to finish the acacia series but for the most part so far this year i'm focusing on comics!
i stuck mostly to comics with leads of color and/or female leads. in most cases it's worked out pretty well...in others not so much.
Big Hero 6 - the fact that it's supposedly SUPER different from disney's version got me curious.
Chew - i heard that they were trying to get a pilot made and apparently it fell through. asian led crime drama/ comedy that involves eating occasionally unsavory things in order to solve crimes.
Junji Ito Collection - i've actually read ito's tomei and uzamaki collection AGES ago and i remember it scaring the shit out of me. i am SO excited to read his entire collected work of horror. BEAUTIFUL illustration and legit creepy stories.
Rachel Rising - this has been a pretty interesting read so far. i'm loving all the female leads but it's easily the least racially diverse work on my list so far. like---the first black man we meet shares this brief moment with the white female lead about how he saw his grandfather get hanged...? and that's it? i dont understand why ppl write about witches and NEVER entertain the idea of wtiches of color even tho we KNO the first woman accused of witchcraft was a black native slave. HELLO?! also there is some random sexist bullshit (white male writer, big surprise) but the story is WILD! witchcraft, undead zombie girls, biblical demons, murderous kids, etc.
Rat Queens - BADASS. CLEVER AS FUCK. I LOVE IT. it takes the high fantasy hero tropes and turns them all on their head. all female cast, racially diverse, queer characters, etc. also it's FUNNY and the story is so engaging. it's a new series that i'm def gonna follow through to the end.
Saga - BRUH. i kno everyone is reading saga but it's legit worth the hype 100%. leads of color, bomb ass characters, AWESOME story, BEAUTIFUL illustration. like---i love it! i have to keep myself from writing a paragraph ode to how this is my favorite series i'm reading so far.
Sex Criminals - ok this one i'm on the fence with. the story is UNIQUE as hell. characters that can stop time when they orgasm?! COOL. but why in god's name would u waste such an interesting concept on a heterosexual white couple? that's just bland to me. the male lead does suffer from depression and other mental health issues and it's actually really well done IMO. it's sad but also funny at the same time and DOES explore the relation (or lack thereof) between love and sex. i dont KNO if i LIKE this one yet.
Sleepy Hollow - how marguerite wrote a more canon story in four issues than the entire writing team of the show in 18 episodes of season 2 is BEYOND me. it's good---i actually would love for boom to get the rights to legit pick this up and extend it out to a full fledge comic book series. i think it would do REALLY well. not really a fan of the art tho.
Storm - in a word this series is unspeakably necessary to my life. i LOVE it so far. i realized there was so much about storm that i didnt actually kno. it's the only classic superhero story that i'm reading so far and i'm 100% ok with that. i've actually never read any superhero comics before so i find it fitting that storm is the first.
The Wicked and the Divine - at first i wasnt sure if i liked this series and sometimes while reading i'm STILL not sure but the story is interesting so far. VERY american gods IMO, but not so much in story as in concept. the lead is a WOC and a lot of the characters r of color as well. the art is GORGEOUS, i love the character design. i feel like there is a message about life and death in here SOMEWHERE but i'm not quite sold. i LOVE the idea of mythological gods interacting with humans in a modern setting tho. it feels like a modern retelling of classic greek and roman stories except they pull from gods from all over the world.
reading rat queens rn
i love it it! like looooooooooooooove it! seriously the characters r so great and the story is engaging and i cant wait for the next volume to come out! it's a story about a bunch of kick ass mercenary girls (like seriously kick ass, not the dudebro brand of kick ass) set in a typical magical land (dragon age? dungeons and dragons? idk) who curse, crack jokes, slay monsters, r queer, have beards (literal actual facial hair), do drugs, etc. they get paid to go on quests and fuck shit up, basically. everybody go read it!
reading sex criminals rn
REALLY interesting.
REALLY REALLY interesting.
the whole concept of having the ability to stop time when achieving orgasm is cool enough. robbing banks on top of it? WOW!
literally the most boring thing about it is that the starring characters r straight white ppl. one of which ~*experimented*~ with a man before BUT IS NOT GAY OMG REMEMBER THAT!
literally the weakest thing.
otherwise it's actually SUPER inventive and the storytelling is pretty great.
i'm listening to junot diaz talk about "this is how u lose her"
and i'm like WOW.
WOW.
listen to it. for anyone who was concerned about the sexism and misogyny in the book, his reasons r deliberate and SUPER aware and it's worth listening to.
looking at these saga fancasts like...
lemme tell u how MOST of these characters should be played by actors of color---dont even play ya self.
stop casting white dudes to play marko's obviously asian self.
and there r more latinas in hollywood than zoe fucking saldena.
and gwendolyn has dark skin and is described as such. stop casting light skin black actresses for the part dammit---the colorism is real!
just ugh, fandom MUST U DO THIS EVERY TIME?!
