Might as well. Compiled all the answers into 1 post. I've actually died from work but feel free to ask questions or tell me something interesting
1. kollovenna asked rynisyou: oh hi there. i hope you get done soon with your work. when i was a a kid i used to draw on toilet paper. did you do anything silly like this in your childhood? anything really ~
Hahaha thanks~ :]
We used to have a desk (something like Nobita's study desk) in the guest room, and that was my secret area. I will sit under the desk and scribble my stories. Usually stick-mans fighting each other. After months working on it, it ended up looking like a battlefield with dead stick-mans and blood. I was 5 years old, maybe 6.
My parents got a shock when they removed the desk years later.
I also drew 'up and down' buttons on the wall beside the stairs and pretend it's an elevator
2. Anonymous asked rynisyou: can you tell your secret when drawing, like your spirit when your draw ? what's the point you draw ?
(I hope I got this question right..) I feel that each of my illustration needs to tell a story so I usually think of a concept/story before drawing something. It's actually time consuming that's why I take forever to complete a normal fan art *sigh. That's probably also why I now find it hard to draw something simple like a normal person standing. Or a portrait. Which is kind of stupid because that's 75% of my job as a character designer.
3. Anonymous asked rynisyou: Favorite AC character?
Malik, obviously
Altair, Leonardo, Ezio, Maria Thorpe, Mario, Yusuf. I haven't played AC3 so I don't have a favourite from there yet
I like Al-Mualim for shits and giggles of youtube transcribed
4. Anonymous asked rynisyou: And favorite quote from the game?
THIEF YOU ARE FILTH
and probably the part where Malik scolds Altair. Maybe Leonard/Ezio moments too
5. lumberloop asked rynisyou: Do you use photoshop for your digital paintings?
I actually stopped using PS for painting because I don't like the standard brushes, layout and lags. I use SAI now: nicer brushes and a lighter program. I occasionally move them to PS to do other things like cropping, resizing, colour balance, etc. And Illustrator for design related illustrations, such as the background design for lamento.
6. Anonymous asked rynisyou: Toast?
...Okay? I prefer pizza though
7. Anonymous asked rynisyou: how long did you spend to finished 1 picture ?
It depends on which illustration actually. I usually work on them when I'm free (weekends) but altogether it's about 2 weeks - 1 month. The mononoke piece for example took longer because I kept changing the composition: started in June, ended in September. But the lamento piece only took 2 weeks.
8. Anonymous asked rynisyou: What anime do you like?
My favourite anime is Mononoke and Gintama. Two completely different genres, I know
Do you have a facebook page? :3
Sorry, but no. Let's put this in a nice way: I'm not a fan of facebook (even though I have to leave it there for "social reasons"), and I'm particularly not a fan of uploading my artworks there.
Maybe in the far future.
