Matt Hughes, artist behind the original Ethereal Visions art noveau tarot and Dreamscape oracle, has done a redesigned version of the deck with more inclusive imagery and 14 new card designs! Like the original Ethereal Visions tarot whose card faces had entirely foiled frame designs, Ethereal Visions Luna edition will have silver holographic foil frames and silver holo foil gilded edges. The cards are also on heavy 350gsm black core cardstock in a two piece box.
If you’re unfamiliar with the original Ethereal Visions tarot, the mass market version is sold by U.S. Games Inc. and features gold foil. The cards of the mass market edition are a bit lighter and less durable than the indie versions that are produced, but still have the foiled frames unique to each card. All editions of Matt Hughes’ decks also contain several cards that are unique between versions, so you can likely expect that if/when the deck has a mass market version, there will be different cards included.
The campaign for this deck ran in February of this year, but Mr. Hughes has had pre-orders open through this month or until the entire edition of 1500 decks sells out.
