Rumi groaned and turned to the noise behind her. "Do all of you have to be in here while I'm cooking?!"
"Yes." Mystery just stood there, possibly staring at her as he kept a hand on Baby's shoulder to try and stop him from jumping up and reaching his snack box.
Rumi pressed her lips into a thin line, staring at the four boys invading her kitchen. "Fine. If you keep bothering me, I have no choice but to burn your pancakes."
Baby, Romance, Abby, and presumably Mystery, all looked at her with wide eyes, shocked that she would even dream of doing something so horrendous. "NO!"
"Then out! Out of my kitchen! Begone!" She shooed them away, shaking her butter-covered spatula as they ran out. "Baby! Put those chips back! We're eating soon!"
"They're for Zoey!"
"They're not for me! He's lying!"
"Put them back, Baby!" Rumi said, turning back to the stove to keep cooking. She heard some quiet tussling in the living room, someone snatching something away before coming in.
"I know, I know." Jinu's gentle voice cut through the sizzling in the air. "I'll get out of your kitchen."
Rumi turned and smiled, seeing him put away the bag of chips before starting to leave. "Where's my good morning kiss?"
Jinu turned back, a smile gracing his lips before pulling her in for a quick peck. "Good morning."
"Good morning. Did you sleep well?"
"Like a log." He floated up and sat on the counter, letting Rumi move back to the stove. "That new mattress is amazing."
"Good. I was hoping a harder mattress could help with your back problems." She flipped the final pancake onto the stack and handed it to him, along with a large bowl of scrambled eggs and some syrup. "Take these to the table. And don't let Baby near them."
"Yes ma'am." He turned and left the kitchen as quietly as he came in.
"FOOD!"
"NO, BABY!" A smack echoed in the living room. "Bad Saja Boy!"
Rumi sighed and poured a large cup of black coffee for herself as she checked on the bacon. She was gonna need it if she was gonna deal with any of them today. "THANK YOU, ZOEY!"
"YOU'RE WELCOME!"
It only took a few short minutes before all the food was out on the pristinely set table. Everyone gathered around, the girls trying to eat with some decorum, and the boys shoveling food into their mouths like ravenous dogs. Well, all except for Jinu. He seemed to be the only one of the five with some level of restraint.
"You do realize that humans don't eat like that, right?" Zoey said, grabbing the attention of the four boys. "We're not wild animals when it comes to food."
Rumi and Mira both shared a knowing glance. They couldn't even count the times Zoey had demolished an entire Party Size bag of Cheeto Puffs before a concert. Or after a concert. Or on any regular day in general.
"But we're hungry..."
"You're always hungry," Mira said, rolling her eyes. "And don't speak with a mouthful of food. It looks and sounds gross."
"You look and sound gross!"
"Ok! Ok," Rumi said, holding up her hands to try a stop a fight from breaking out. "Both of you, calm down. And boys, you should probably eat slower. You're might choke if you don't."
They all rolled their eyes, mumbling under their breaths as they tried to eat like civilized people.
Once Jinu was done eating, he stood up and grabbed the few empty plates. "Finish up and get dressed. I want everyone by the door in 15 minutes so we can run errands."
Baby groaned and leaned back in his chair. "Can't you go on your own?"
"Getting groceries for eight people is not a one person job, Baby. We all need to help," Zoey said, following Jinu to the kitchen with her own empty plate.
"Especially with how much your fat ass eats..." Abby mumbled.
"I'm not fat! What part about me is fat?!" Baby shouted, gesturing to himself.
"If you two start fighting again then I'm grabbing the Get Along Shirt!" Rumi cut in.
Both boys glared at her and quickly shut up.
"Good. Now go get dressed."
•°••°••°••°••°••°•
"UGHHHHH! My feet hurt!"
They had only been out for an hour and Baby was already whining.
"I told you not to wear your converse," Jinu said with a sigh. "They're half a size too small."
"But they match my hoodie," he whined again.
"You do realize you're not an actual toddler, right?" Mira said condescendingly, heaving a heavy bag of groceries. "You don't have to act like one all the time."
Baby stopped whining immediately, turning to the redhead with a growl and a sneer. "And you realize that you don't have to be a bi-"
Zoey shoved a lollipop into his mouth before he could finish. "Baby, shut up."
"My feet are starting to hurt, though," Mira said to Rumi. "Could we stop-" Before she could finish, Abby picked her up and carried her on his back like it was second nature.
Rumi just smiled at the girl's shocked face. "How's the view?"
"Rumi, make him put me down. Now."
"You can just ask me yourself," Abby said, rolling his eyes.
"Rumi. Make. Him. Put. Me. Down. NOW."
"Abby, can you please set Mira down?" Rumi asked sweetly.
Abby mumbled something about "being nice" and set her back on her feet. "There. Happy?"
Mira reached up and smacked the back on his head as hard as she could. "Now I am."
"Oh, you bi-"
"Abby, shut up." Zoey shoved a lollipop in his mouth as well.
"There's a lot of people out today..." Mystery said softly. He never liked being around a lot of people. Rumi always thought it was odd, but there is a big difference in being around a lot of people and being on a stage where you can keep your distance from the fans.
"Yeah," Jinu said with a chuckle. "Kind of reminds me when we debuted." As soon as he said that, everyone seemed to stop. It couldn't be happening again, could it?
Rumi shared a look with the girls, then snapped her head in the direction of the faint music. She ran over to the crowd that gathered, music getting louder as she ran into the middle of it. She heard their footsteps pounding behind her, quickly drowned out as techno music filled the air.
"Mercury, Venus,
Earth, and Mars
The love you give me
Is beyond these stars"
"Gwi-Ma is seriously trying this again?"
"You'd think after your guys' big failure, he'd give up."
Zoey pulled a lollipop out of her tote bag. "Mira-"
"No, I want the cherry one."
Zoey shoved the grape flavored lollipop into her mouth. "You can't make demands when you're being mean."
Mira just glared and kept watching the performance.
Four women sang and danced around in blue galaxy themed dresses. One of them was very over the top. Puff sleeves, faux lace bodice, with a huge skirt that puffed out from a petticoat. Rumi guessed that she was the maknae, due to the cutesy look. Her hair was held up in large space buns, charms dangling off and clinking with every movement.
Another one dressed more plain. A sleeveless turtleneck dress, with a solid deep blue to galaxy gradient, her arms covered in charm bracelets and golden bangles. Her hair was put into a crown braid that ended at the base of her hairline, with the rest of her hair dangling in a ponytail that ended on the small of her back. There was a good chance she was the leader.
The third was their center, dressed in a more tough looking outfit. An oversized t-shirt with a nebula on it and riddled with holes, exposing a black tank top underneath. Low rise dark denim jeans, with a painted galaxy starting below the knees. Her hair was in an emo cut, to put it bluntly. Blue pixie cut hair with large bangs that covered her right eye (or left, from Rumi's perspective).
The last had a similar vibe to the leader. She had a cropped halter top, with a high waisted skirt that looked like the night sky. Her hair was wrapped up in a small braid, falling just between her shoulders. Judging by the way she expertly hit every move, she was the choreographer.
"You know, Rumi," Jinu said softly. "Just because a new group is debuting the same way we did, doesn't necessarily mean they're demons."
Almost as if on cue, the light hit their arms just right and their patterns glittered for the small group.
"....ok, so they're demons..."
"Do we seriously have to deal with this again?" Zoey said, her face clouded with sadness. "I thought we just had to deal with normal demons now!"
"Shh!" Rumi slammed her hand over Zoey's mouth. "Don't let everyone know!"
"Hm-hm hm hm?" Zoey asked behind her hand.
"No. No Zoey shut up." Rumi turned her attention back to the demons before them as they moved into the chorus.
"Darling, you must be,
From the heavens above!
Come on, baby, hit me
With that galactic love!
Let me take your halo,
And fill you up with sin!
You can be my fallen Angel,
Let me taste your skin!"
"Let me taste your skin?" Rumi repeated, looking weirded out from the line.
"Even Rome can write better lines than that..." Mystery said quietly, his voice almost entirely drowned out by the techno.
Zoey gasped and looked over at Rumi, shocked. "Are they cannibal demons? Can demons be cannibals?"
"Well, they'd have to eat other demons to be cannibals," Mira commented.
"Hey, you have a lollipop! Lollipop means shut up!" Zoey said, motioning for her to put the lollipop back in her mouth.
"I mean, it's still a pretty good song..." Jinu said, bobbing his head side to side to the beat.
The other seven turned to him, and Zoey just silently handed him a lollipop.
Jinu sighed and took the strawberry shortcake flavored lollipop. "Jinu, shut up," he said before starting to suck on the lollipop.
Rumi bit her lip, trying not to dance along to the intoxicating rhythm like the rest of the crowd while their center started to rap.
"When the stars align
Oh, it just feels so right.
I need you in my arms
Under the moonlight.
You look so fine
Like a supernova!
I can't control myself
You got me blowin' over!
Without you, I feel empty
Like the vacuum of space
But I know your worship
Can never be replaced
Give me your soul
Give me your heart
Baby, with my love
We'll never be apart"
"She's a pretty good rapper," Baby commented, his head bobbing to the rhythm.
"Baby-! Oh, you're done with your lollipop," Zoey said, not realizing she had become a slave to the rhythm as well as the group went into the final chorus, going all out with the choreo.
"Darling, you must be,
From the heavens above!
Come on, baby, hit me
With that galactic love!
Let me take your halo,
And fill you up with sin!
You can be my fallen Angel,
Let me taste your skin!
Hit me with that galactic love!
There's nothing I need more of!"
The demons stopped, smiling gently as the crowd clapped and cheered for them. The leader stepped forward, looking so humble and kind.
"Thank you, thank you! You all are sooooo kind!" She said with a bright smile. "We hope you all tune in tonight to see us on Weekly Idol! Until then-" She paused, slamming her high heel into the pavement in unison with the other three. They all posed their left hands into a reverse L and pressed them against their foreheads.
"LUNA-R is LUNA-OUT!" They said in unison, shooting their hands up before disappearing into a cloud of cosmic smoke and dust.
The crowd began to disperse, and the group of eight begrudgingly continued on their shopping trip.
"I serrrrrriouslyyyyyy thought we were over with thissssss!"
"I know, Zoey," Rumi sighed, holding the groceries closer. "Let's just finish getting food and we'll make a battle plan back at home."
The group continued in silence for only a few moments.
"Oh, so I act like a whiny little bitch and it's the end of the world," Baby began. "But Zoey starts whining and everything is fine?!"
"UGHHHHHH! Zoey, make him shut up," Mira groaned.
"I gave Jinu the last one..." She said sadly. "I put them on the grocery list..."
"Hey, I want an answer!" He demanded, getting in front of Mira.
"Baby, your mere existence doesn't even dignify an answer."
"Oh, so you're on the bitch train today!"
"You did not just call me a bitch!"
"Yes I did!"
Rumi screamed in frustration, ready to pull her hair out. "That's it! You're both going in the Get Along Shirt when we get back!" She stormed ahead of the group, ignoring Mira and Baby's pleading to do "anything but the Get Along Shirt."

"Ow... Ow... Ow... Ow..." Zoey limped to her seat with the help of Bobby, sighing in relief when she could finally take pressure off her injured foot.
"How did you get a cut on the bottom of your foot?" Bobby asked, looking concerned.
"I stepped on glass."
"I'm really sorry," Mystery said as he took his seat beside her.
Bobby sighed heavily, getting all the information he needed from those few words.
"Alright, I need everyone on their best behavior today," Jinu said as everyone got settled at the table. "So that means no fighting, no annoying each other-"
"And no joking about charging people for autographs, Baby," Rumi said, accompanied by a firm tone and glare.
"I wasn't joking."
Rumi and Jinu both let out a heavy sigh, both pinching the bridge of their nose in perfect unison. "Still, you cannot tell fans to 'fork it over' for something they came to get for free," they both said.
"But I want money." Baby looked at them with wide eyes and a small pout.
"The puppy dog eyes only work when it's coming from Mysty!" Rumi said, reaching over and flicking his forehead.
Baby yelped from the tiny amount of pain before stuttering and sputtering. "Wha- I- You- No one can even see his eyes!"
"You don't have to see them to feel the aura of the Sad Little Meow Meow," Zoey said with an overexaggerated pout, nuzzling up to Mystery who gratefully nuzzled back.
"Wouldn't he be like... Sad Little Arf Arf cuz he's a literal fucking dog?" Mira asked, finishing her boba and taking a water bottle from Bobby. "Wait, no, never mind that sounds stupid. Forget I said that."
"Nope. Mysty is now a Sad Little Arf Arf." Zoey smiled and rubbed her cheek with Mystery, and if you listened close enough then you could possibly hear her purring.
"Alright, team," Bobby said as the table was almost fully set. "I know it might seem hopeless with everyone talking about LUNA-R, but I know after today's event everyone's gonna be battling for the Huntrix Army and Saja Boys Pride!"
"Like they should be." Jinu gave a sly grin to Rumi as they took their seats at the table.
"You know you won't win, demon," Rumi whispered teasingly before sharing a kiss.
"These fans slept on the sidewalk, overnight!"
"Don't they always do that?" Abby asked, looking confused.
"Let's bring them-" Bobby started to speak to the staff before Jinu cut him off.
"Hold on. Mira, fix your shirt. I can see the underside of your bra when you lift your arms up," Jinu said, gesturing to the shirt as Mira blushed heavily. "And Zoey, one of your buns is falling out."
"Oh, thanks!" Zoey pulling out her bun, letting the braid fall and trying to wrap it up again.
"Baby, I told you once, I've told you 1,000 times, get your feet off the table!" Rumi said firmly. "You look like a delinquent!"
"Maybe I wanna be a delinquent!" The demon shouted back, reluctantly taking his feet off the table.
"Oh, and Rome, please button up your shirt some more," Rumi added gently. "I don't think the internet would take kindly to your man titties."
Romance pouted and buttoned up his shirt, leaving the top two buttons unbuttoned and putting on a practiced smile.
"Alright, let's bring them in!" Bobby said to the staff, watching as thousands of fans piled into the small space. "Welcome! Hey, single file, no pushing."
"Thanks for coming today," Jinu said as four cloaked figures came up to the table. He gave a sideways glance to Rumi, seeing the nerves peek up from behind her perfect smile. Something about them felt off. "Who should I make this out to?"
"To your new biases."
"Huh?" Jinu looked up as a cloak was thrown in his and Rumi's face, fumbling to pull it off as the fans went wild.
"OMG IT'S LUNA-R!"
"Omg, it's luna-r..." They both said unenthusiastically.
"Ladies, it truly is an honor!" Bobby said with a bow to be polite. "Table, on the double!"
Staff quickly ran in with another table for the four girls, which caused not even half, but more like 80% of the fans to divide and go to LUNA-R's line.
"No no no no no..." Jinu shot up and gestured to their table. "Why should we have to fight over the fans? You can sit with us if you want." With a gentle smile, a tilt of the head, and that classic charm he seemed to have, the four girls were caught hook, line, and sinker.
"Oh, Jinu," said their leader, Luna, as she walked over. "Precious moonbeam, you are too kind to us!" She smiled, cupping his cheek and patting it gently while fans screeched in joy at the tiny interaction.
The table was brought over and the idols started to begrudgingly move around to incorporate the other four girls in the line up. The youngest of the four, Nova, pushed past the other three and rushed the table. "I WANNA SIT BY THE CUTE ONE!" She hopped over the table and strong armed her way between Mystery and Zoey, crouching in her seat like a wild animal and staring at Zoey with wide, doll-like eyes and a smile with too much teeth. "Hi..."
Zoey backed away slightly, forcing an awkward smile. "Hi..."
Their center and rapper, Astra, lazily moved to sit between Mira and Abby. She lazily kicked her feet up on the table, licking her teeth and staring at his midsection. "'Sup, Washboard," she said before licking her teeth.
"Ok, she gets to put her feet on the table but I can't?" Baby asked as he turned to Jinu and Rumi, looking very pissed off.
"No, she does not." Luna moved between the other two leaders, leaning on the table slightly. "Starlight, please get your feet off the table. It's unsanitary."
Astra rolled her eyes and took her feet off the table, knocking her head side to side as she mocked her leader in her mind.
"Thank you, starlight." Luna delicately sat between Jinu and Rumi, smiling like nothing was wrong. She looked at Rumi from the corner of her eye, a glint of something sinister in her eyes and a giggle escaping her lips. It caused a slight sting to move through her body, stiffening up as she stared at the demon between her and her lover.
The fans started to move forward, heading towards their favorite idols to get stuff signed or give gifts. Huntrix and Saja Boys were trying to focus on the event and the fans, and LUNA-R wasn't necessarily making it easy.
"So, does the carpet match the drapes, pretty boy?" Astra whispered in Abby's ear as he signed a poster. Abby choked on his own spit, messing up his signature and turning to the girl beside him.
"E-Excuse me?"
"Is everything alright, Abby-ssi?" The fan in front of them asked.
"Everything is fine, cub," Abby said with a forced smile, handing the poster to the fan. "I'm sorry I messed up the signature."
"It's ok! It makes it unique!" The fan smiled and waved goodbye before heading out.
Nova barely broke her eye contact with Zoey. She'd turn to fans, smile and giggle and sign things while joking about them "being so cute she could just eat them up", but she barely looked away from Zoey.
"Is...everything ok?" Zoey asked awkwardly as she waited for another fan to come up.
"You know, your entire body is like, perfectly symmetrical..." Nova whispered in a creepy tone. "If I ripped you apart down the middle, I'd have two matching halves... I like that in a woman..."
Zoey just laughed and started smacking Baby's shoulder. "Baby, swap seats with me," she whispered through gritted teeth.
"Nuh-uh. I ain't sitting next to that weirdo," Baby whispered back.
"Swap seats with me before I die!"
"No!"
Luna kept a simple smile, making small talk with the fans and signing whatever she was given. "So, a hunter dating a demon..." She whispered to Rumi. "Seems quite odd, no?"
Rumi didn't respond to her.
"I mean, how could two sworn enemies even create a friendship with each other? Even you can see that it would never work, right?"
Rumi gripped her pen tighter, focusing on the fan that ran up to her with a t-shirt.
Luna waited until they left to continue taunting her. "I don't want to be rude, sunbaenim, but it just seems that you and Jinu are doomed to fail. He's only after the souls of your fans, and it's your duty to kill him-"
"Hey," Jinu said, placing a hand on Luna's shoulder. "Knock it off."
Luna blushed and covered her mouth, forcing a little giggle as fans started to take pictures. Rumi and Jinu both seemed confused, but Luna simply gave her that look again. That sinister glint and a knowing smirk from behind her hand.
The only normal one was Venus, who sat down on the other end with Romance. She seemed focused on the fans enough, making some small talk with the idol beside her.
"So, what do you for fun?"
"Annoy my friends," Romance said with a gentle laugh. "What about you?"
"Annoy my sisters," she said, giving him a cheeky grin. "That or crochet. Or work on choreo. One of those three."
"Sounds fun."
"Yeah... It does get a little...boring, though..." She replied, looking up at him gently. "Maybe you could...spice up my routine? This Friday, 7 pm? Meet outside my apartment building?" She looked nervous yet hopeful, leaning a bit closer to him.
"Oh? And where would we go?" They paused their quiet conversation, signing the posters for the fans that came up.
"There's this one place that has the best tteokbokki I've ever had, besides my mom's. Maybe we could stop there for a bite to eat and catch a late showing of J-Pop Spirit Hunters?"
Romance looked over at her, smiling gently before looking around to make sure there weren't any fans close enough to hear. He leaned in and whispered, "It's a date," before sitting upright and greeting another fan.
"It's good to see everyone getting along..." Luna said gently as she watched her sisters. "Or at least trying to... Novie, Little One, please stop bothering Zoey!"
"I AIN'T BOTHERING HER!"
Luna sighed and pinched the bridge of her nose. "Nope, not worth a fight... Not worth a fight in public..." She smiled and continued to interact with the fans that came up, continuously stealing glances at Rumi. "You know-"
"I don't want to hear it," Rumi forced through gritted teeth.
"You don't want to hear the truth? That you're gonna die before Jinu?" Luna smirked softly and leaned a little bit closer. "He's a demon, and you're a mortal. You gonna die in 60 years or so and he's going to live until the heat death of the universe. And he'll forget all about you by then."
Rumi's grip on the pen tightened, causing it to break in her hand. Thankfully, the ink stains were invisible against the black tablecloth. She watched out of the corner of her eye while Jinu whispered a heated threat for the sisters to leave. Luna was blushing again, her face tomato red as fans continuously snapped pictures. She had to be doing that on purpose by now.
"I'm so sorry, precious starshines," Luna said as she stood up. "But we need to get going." She moved behind the table, roughly to the center, and gestured for her sisters to come closer. Only Astra and Nova did, as Venus was still talking and flirting with Romance, which caused her to let out an exasperated sigh and move to her little sister.
"Moonlight, we need to go." She pulled her out of the seat, gently yet unwillingly.
"Oh, ok. You have my number and address, right?" Venus looked a little shocked and upset that she had to leave Romance earlier than planned, whispering to him as she was dragged away.
Romance gave a nod and delicately held up a folded up piece of paper, presumably what she had written it down on minutes before.
"Until next time-" Luna paused, making their signature with her sisters. "LUNA-R IS LUNA-OUT!" And with that, the four sisters disappeared in a puff of cosmic smoke.
Some of the fans seemed upset at their departure, but their disappointment quickly left as Huntrix and Saja Boys continued the event. Forced smiles, multiple thank yous, and many weird items to sign later, and the event was over and done with.
"Ok, show of hands, how many people had to sign a bag of teeth?" Mira said, holding up her hand and looking exasperated.
Abby held up his hand and Mystery held up two. "I had to sign three bags but I only have two hands," Mystery said with his usual monotone.
"Ok, we need to make it a rule that no one is allowed to bring anything weird!" Mira grabbed another water bottle and chugged half of it. "I am done signing teeth and urns."
"I actually don't mind the urns. Most of them are fans who have passed on, so it's a nice way to honor their memory," Jinu said as he helped clean up. "But yeah, the teeth is weird."
"Ok, teeth is weird, but who had to sign a fucking baby?!" Baby Saja looked at them all with a glare, holding his hand up high. "Until any of you sign a baby, you can shut up!"
"It was one time-"
"One time too many!"
Rumi sighed and started scrolling through her phone, seeing many fans brag about their newly signed posters, shirts, and CDs on social media. She just couldn't get the thought of Luna and Jinu out of her head. She knew what Luna was doing, trying to get in between them and cause some kind of friction or hate, but it still hurt. A lot.
"Oh my god, it's happening again..."
Rumi looked away, noticing the seven gathered around Bobby's phone. Well, six. Romance was close by, but he was scrolling through his own phone with a stupid grin. "What's happening again?"
"People are shipping us with LUNA-R like they did with our groups," Jinu explained as the watched Bobby scrolling through posts.
"The internet is loving this!" He said as he looked through post after post. "And you know what I always say."
"The internet is never wrong," all three girls said as Rumi moved to crowd around Bobby's phone with them.
The first post she saw was a photo edit of Zoey and Nova, made to look like they were cuddled close with a blue star border around the photo. "Zova... Sounds cute-" Rumi started to say.
"NO! No! Nuh-uh!" Zoey said, backing away from the phone as if it had personally wronged her. "She said she was gonna eat my teeth after I died! No!"
Rumi grimaced and turned back to the phone, seeing the next post was of Astra and Abby. It was a detailed piece of fanart, both of the them in athletic gear and lifting up their shirts to show off their six packs while flexing their other arm. Also, they were covered in sweat.
"Why does this feel like fetish art..."
"Astrab-by?" Mystery tilted his head slightly as he spoke, hoping he pronounced it right.
"I'm gonna... Yeah..." Abby blushed and moved away to...somewhere.
"At least he's doing it in private..." Jinu mumbled, reaching over to scroll to the next post.
It was a collage with pictures from the event, specifically him interacting with Luna. Those orchestrated moments were she would blush and giggle, with the pictures taken moments before Jinu would get confused. It looked like he was flirting with her.
A pang raced through Rumi's heart as she stared at the post way too long. She knew their relationship was strong, that they would last, but what Luna said really got under her skin. Would their relationship actually fail? Was Jinu only in this relationship because he was still trying to steal their fans' souls?
"Don't let her get into your head, RuRu," Jinu said gently, already being able to tell the thoughts racing through her mind. "This Jina stuff is a passing fad. Rujinu is for life." He smiled and kissed her cheek, nuzzling her gently.
"It better be!" Rumi laughed and playfully hit his arm.
"Rome... Rome-ee-nus?" Mystery titled his head again. You couldn't see his face, but you feel his confusion.
"No, it's StarCrossed."
"Huh?" Everyone turned to Romance, who was still scrolling through his phone.
"StarCrossed." Romance said nothing else, focusing on the video playing on his phone.
"Girl, your ship name sounds like another word for penis! StarCrossed is so much cuter!"
"Ok, but why StarCrossed?"
"Because they're modern day Romeo and Juliet! A boy and girl madly in love and torn apart by rival groups? A pair of star-crossed lovers take their life, whose misadventured piteous overthrows doth, with their death, bury their parents' strife!"
"Ok cut the Shakespeare, crazy lady!"
"I'm not crazy, I'm right- DON'T WALK AWAY FROM ME!"
"Hey, humor me for 5 seconds," Baby said, watching him with narrowed eyes. "Knock him over."
"What?" Rumi and Jinu both turned to him in confusion.
"Just get him on the ground. I wanna see something."
"You had me at knock him over." Mira stepped forward and pushed Romance out of the chair, watching him fall to the floor with a heavy thud. Rumi and Jinu both winced softly, watching as he rolled onto his stomach and kept scrolling through "StarCrossed" content, lazily kicking his legs behind him.
"Yep, we lost him," Baby said matter-of-factly. "He's gone insane. Thanks for confirming my hypothesis."
"Anytime." Mira gave him a nod and helped the staff grab some chairs.
Rumi sighed and pulled Romance off the ground. "C'mon, Romeo. Let's get you home."
♡◇♡◇♡◇♡◇♡◇♡◇♡◇♡◇♡◇♡◇♡◇♡◇♡◇♡◇♡
Romance was dead to the world, scrolling through his phone with a dopey grin. He was switching between messages and social media, texting his new "soulmate", which Mira cracked up at since neither of them had a soul, or stalking her socials and their new ship tag.
"You do realize she's probably just using you to take down our groups from the inside, right?" Mira asked, sitting on her bean bag, and also on top of Baby who kept trying to push her off.
"And you do realize you're a cranky bitc-" Romance was quickly cut off by a lollipop being shoved into his mouth.
"Rome, shut up." Zoey sat back and scrolled through her own phone, seeing way too many posts, edits, and fanart of her and Nova. You could tell from her body language and the look on her face, she was obviously uncomfortable with it.
"Get offa me!"
"Get out of my bean bag!"
"I can't with your skinny ass on me!"
"You can teleport!"
"Mira, Baby got there first," Rumi said, passing by the seating area to set the table. "It's his turn in the bean bag."
"I KEEP TELLING YOU SHE'S TERRITORIAL, BABY! GET OUT OF HER BEAN BAG!" Jinu yelled from the kitchen.
Baby and Mira both stopped shoving at each other. "Who do we listen to?! Mom or Dad?!" Baby shouted to Jinu, looking confused.
"WE'RE NOT YOUR MOM AND DAD! ....BUT LISTEN TO YOUR MOTHER!" Jinu yelled back.
Rumi blushed softly and just kept setting to the table. "You heard him. Mira, out."
Mira groaned loudly, reluctantly getting up and moving to sit beside Zoey on the couch. "But it's my bean bag!"
"In case you forgot, I bought that bean bag with my own money, and you kept using it," Rumi said as she turned to Mira. "So technically, it's my bean bag and I say Baby gets to sit in it tonight."
Baby smiled from where he sat, sticking out his tongue and pulling down his eyelids at her.
"Ew gross no no one is supposed to the whole thing!" Mira turned away and moved closer to Zoey. "God gave you eyelids for a reason!"
"BABY STOP TORMENTING YOUR SISTER!"
"She's not my sister!!!"
"STILL! LEAVE HER ALONE!"
"Whatever. I still get the bean bag!" Baby whooped and pumped his fists in the air before going back to his phone.
"If you keep being a little shit, then the bean bag goes into my room and it never comes out again," Rumi threatened as she went back to the kitchen. She sighed and nuzzled up to Jinu, wrapping her arms around his waist and watching as he worked on the fried rice. "Dinner almost ready?"
"Almost, love." He reached back and gently scratched her neck, enjoying the little purrs she let out. "Despite the girls crashing, I think the fansign went pretty well..."
"Mmm... Yeah..." Rumi mumbled, pouting when Jinu pulled his hand away to keep cooking. "Just wish Luna would've shut up..."
"Well, you can't control other people, Rumi. You just gotta ignore her." Jinu reached over and added some more sauces and oils, trying to keep his face away from the steam.
"Ugh! I know!" Rumi groaned as she pulled away, starting to pass the kitchen behind him. "It's just like... She knows how to press every button! And I just... Ugh!" Rumi gripped and clawed at the air as if she was trying to manifest the demon girl into her hands so she could kill her.
"Hey, hey, it'll be ok." He pulled away and wrapped his arms around her. "Just try to ignore her. Everything will turn out fine. I promise."
Rumi sighed, wrapping her arms around him. In moments, her fears and anxiety dissipated and time seemed to slow. It was just her and Jinu, swaying side to side in the kitchen, breathing in each other's presence as they hugged close. He just had that way with her. Something about him always made her feel like, in these moments, that nothing was wrong. Everything was ok. Because he was there.
"How did I get so lucky?" Rumi mumbled, unaware she was thinking out loud.
Jinu chuckled and cupped her cheeks. "How did I get so lucky?" He kissed her lips softly and pulled away, turning back to the food as Rumi hopped up to sit on the counter and watch.
A comfortable silence settled for a minute or two as Rumi watched, starting to sing after a short while.
"Used to hide my face in mirrors,
Afraid of what I’d see
Scars I covered up with glitter
Didn’t feel like me
But your voice said, “You’re enough”
Held my hand when times got tough
Now I see the truth I never knew
In every crack, the light shines through"
Jinu smiled as he portioned out the food for the eight of them, quietly joining in for the chorus.
"We’re dancing in the rosey afterglow
Flaws like petals, let the real us show
In every shadow, we found our gold
Together we’re unbreak-"
Rumi stopped abruptly, seeing something glitter out of the corner of her eye. She whipped her head over, trying to find whatever the shine was coming from.
"RuRu?"
"I'm fine. Just my imagination, JiJi." She took the bowls from him and brought them to the table.
"Dinner's ready!" She called as she placed the last bowl of food on the table. Everyone gathered around, barely any decorum or grace as they started to devour the food and mumbling comments about how they haven't eaten all day or have been starving since breakfast. Well...all except one...
"Rome? Buddy?" Jinu called out from the table. "Are you hungry?"
"Hmm?" Romance turned to Jinu slightly, still captivated by whatever was on his phone. "Yeah yeah. That's fine."
Rumi looked up, slightly annoyed. "Romance. Come eat."
"Uh-huh..."
"Stay there if I can eat your food," Baby said between mouthfuls of rice.
"Mmm..." Romance stayed in his seat, scrolling down to the next post.
Baby cheered quietly to himself, reaching for a bowl across the table before getting his hand smacked by Rumi. "Hey! He said-"
"No. Bad Saja Boy." Rumi stood up for the table and went over to Romance, delicately grabbing his phone and pulling it out of his hands. "Rome, it's time to eat," she said gently as she pocketed his phone. "You can have this back when you're done eating, ok?"
"But-"
"No buts. Time to eat." She pulled him out of his seat and led him to the table, patting his head gently and going back to eating in a comfortable silence.
Rumi couldn't get the song out of her head, so the air was quickly filled with her gentle hum as she sang under her breath.
"Oh-oh, oh-oh, ne, ne
Hearts in bloom, let the colors flow
Oh-oh, oh-oh
In the rosey afterglow"
And of course, Mira and Zoey joined in, swallowing their food to sing along with her.
"I used to wish I was someone else
Fought my demons in a silent hell
But now I got sisters, I got grace
We face the storm with a fearless face"
And the boys, who recently learned the song, didn't want to be left out of an impromptu karaoke session. Mystery, only familiar with the chorus, simply hummed the harmony, tapping out the beat on the table for them as they sang.
Their food was quickly forgotten, voices rose and combined to create a beautiful melody.
"We’re dancing in the rosey afterglow
Flaws like petals, let the real us show"
Rumi went quiet, watching the honmoon ripple out the large windows. Something shone in the distance. Something...gold.
"In every shadow, we found our gold
Together we’re unbreakable"
"Hey. Rumi?" Mira stopped everyone, looking over at her leader. "Are you ok?"
"Ok, you have to tell me you saw that," Rumi said, turning to the two girls. "The honmoon started turning gold."
"Wait, seriously?" Jinu turned to where Rumi was staring, hoping to see it for himself, but was only met with the normal Seoul skyline.
"Yeah. It's kinda hard to miss, Rumi," Mira responded.
"You don't think..." Rumi didn't finish her sentence, looking at Mira with a slightly confused, slightly concerned expression.
"I... I doubt it would..."
"But you saw the gold!"
"Ok, we're all stupid!" Abby cut in. "What are you three talking about?"
Zoey said nothing, looking down nervously before limping away from the table. She went to one of the boxes of stuff the boys had cleaned out from the recording studio, searching through the box silently.
"It's not important, Abs," Mira said, giving Rumi her full attention while she tried to talk her down. "Rumi, we don't even have a song."
"It couldn't hurt to try."
"We don't even have an idea-"
"I think I have an idea..." Zoey finally spoke up, getting up from the floor with a thick blue paper folder.
"One or 500?" Baby said sarcastically, trying (and slightly failing) to hide his nerves from not knowing what was going on.
Zoey held up the folder labeled "TERRIBLE IDEAS: DO NOT USE" and gave them a slight smirk. "Just one..."

One week had passed since LUNA-R debuted, and it seemed like a passing fad.
Two weeks passed, the girls didn't think anything of it. They would be gone overnight, no battle necessary.
Three weeks passed, and they debuted an entire album, Cosmic Fever.
Four weeks had now passed since LUNA-R debuted, and the girls were now stuck in the recording studio again, trying to make a diss track for the new demon band.
Zoey looked down at her notebook, tapping the table with her pen like a metronome while Rumi played the instrumental on her guitar. "Takin' you down, yeah, takin' you out. Beat yo ugly face into the ground. Da da da da da da..." She stopped tapping her pen, groaning and grabbing at the air. "Dang it! Was it this hard before?"
"It didn't seem this hard," Mira said, handing Zoey her notebooks before laying down on the couch, pulling out her phone to check for any messages. "Wait, it's been 12 hours?"
"I guess..." Zoey sighed and flopped on the bean bag on the floor.
"How has it been 12 hours and we can't even agree on a beat?"
"No, we already got it!" Rumi pulled her guitar closer, playing a simple melody they had agreed on hours ago.
"I told you I don't like that one," Zoey said, lifting her head up. "My rap will be too slow."
"Well, do you have any better ideas, lyricist?!" Rumi snapped, her patterns glowing a faint purple.
"Woah. Ru, calm down," Mira said, placing a gentle hand on her shoulder. "How about we get some fresh air?"
"Yeah!" Zoey jumped up, gaining more energy in a matter of seconds. "Fresh air means fresh ideas, right?" She playfully punched Rumi's shoulder before pulling her up. "Besides, I am starrrrving!"
Rumi just sighed and smiled. "Yeah. Let's go get some food."
The girls all covered up with hoodies, hats, and cardigans, stepping out of the studio and walking down mazes of alleys and backstreets to try and travel undetected.
There was a restaurant they liked to frequent. A fully-automated ramyeon...restaurant? Cafe? They never really knew what to call it. There were no workers, no cashier, and there were barely any people that ever came. All the food was laid out in containers or clear door refrigerators, with all the prices listed. It ran on the honor system. You grab what you want, leave the money in a box by the door, and be on your way. And it was open 24/7, hidden away in one of the corners of the backstreets. It was perfect for the girls.
The girls walked in, smiling at the man filling up the toppings bar and putting back the clean bowls. "Hey, Mr. Chin!" They said in unison.
Mr. Chin gave them a gentle smile and a small bow. He was a quiet man, they learned over time. He usually kept to himself, rarely coming down to his apartment above to replace what was used by past customers. Most of the time he would leave them (and other customers) alone. He mentioned before he preferred the peace and quiet over anything else when Zoey had tried to start a conversation with him a few months ago. Even though he didn't say anything else at the time, the three quickly figured that he opened the restaurant as a way to make money and keep the peace and quiet that he so craved.
He was gone within a moment, and the girls quickly went to making their food and sitting at their usual tiny table.
Rumi tried to stay focused, giving some half-hearted input while Mira and Zoey tried to figure out the new song. Her silence and lack of energy was quickly noticed, however.
"Hey, you feeling alright?" Mira placed a gentle hand over Rumi's, making the girl stop poking at her food and setting down her chopsticks.
"Yeah... Just...tired and stressed..." Rumi sighed, rubbing her temples as she tried to pick her next words carefully. "What if this new band is better than the Saja Boys? I mean, they have had a year to figure out what went wrong, what they needed to fix, how to do the whole 'demon band' thing better. What if we can't take them down this time?"
Zoey immediately grabbed her hand, squeezing it tight with a determined smile. "They may have had a year to train, but so did we! We know what went wrong, what we needed to do better. Same thing they did. We can send them crawling back to their demon king!"
"Yeah. Don't get so worked up over it. It'll be fine." Mira squeezed her other hand. "Stop getting so...Rumi about this, Rumi."
Rumi just rolled her eyes, squeezing their hands again before letting go. "Yeah, yeah. I'm just... I keep getting in my head about all this stuff." She went back to her food, confused when she heard the chorus to Soda Pop playing from her phone. She had set it as Jinu's ringtone months and months ago. So why was Jinu calling her? He only ever called when it was an emergency.
She picked up immediately and put it on speaker phone. "Where's the blood?"
"Well, good afternoon to you, too." Rumi could hear his eyes roll over the phone. "I just wanted to check on you. Make sure everything is ok."
"Yeah, we're all fine. We went to Mr. Chin's to get some food and we're gonna head back home afterwards."
"Ohhhhh, Abby's gonna be piiiiiissed." Jinu's gentle laughter filled the area around her. "But you three are ok, right?"
"Yeah." Rumi leaned back in her seat. "I don't know why you get so antsy when we leave. I told you we spend hours in our recording studio when we're working on our music."
There was a heavy pause over the phone. "Rumi, my love, it has been 2 days since I have seen you."
Rumi's eyes went wide and she looked at Mira and Zoey, who shared the same shocked expression. "Umm, no. It's been 12 hours."
"Honey, what day do you think it is?"
"It's Tuesday."
"No, Rumi. It's Thursday."
"So we spent two days in our studio and have less than what we started with?!" Mira said, ready to pull her hair out in frustration.
Zoey just whined and slammed her face into the table.
"Oh. Hi, Mira. Hi, Zoey."
"Hey, Jinu..." They groaned softly.
"We will be home in 20 minutes," Rumi said flatly.
"Alright. I'll- Huh? ..........Mystery, you need to speak up...... What-
WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU THREW UP BLOOD AGAIN?!?!?!"
Rumi shot up from her seat. "WHAT?!"
"I TOLD YOU TO STOP EATING GLASS!!!! I DON'T CARE IF IT'S CRUNCHY!!! YOU HAVE A HUMAN BODY NOW AND HUMAN BODIES CAN'T EAT GLA-" Rumi hung up, cutting off Jinu's sentence and cleaning up their table.
"C'mon, we gotta go." She shoved some money into the box by the door and ran out, not caring to check and see if Mira and Zoey were following her.
By the time she had got home, Mira and Zoey rushing to catch up, Jinu was still scolding Mystery, and Abby and Baby as well.
"Welcome home, honey!" Jinu shouted, looking pissed off. "Guess what?! These two idiots also ate glass!"
Rumi's eye twitched. Cleaning up one pile of blood-glass-vomit was fine. Cleaning up three, on the other hand...
Abby turned, fear glazing his eyes as he tried to defend himself. "If it makes you feel any better, I threw up outside!"
Rumi sighed, gritting her teeth. "Where did you throw up outside?"
"In the alleyway..."
"Where Derpy can get to it?"
Abby stared for a moment before power walking to the door. "Cleaning it up right now!"
"GOOD! Where did you throw up?!" She asked, pointing over to Baby.
"On Mira's bed."
"YOU DID WHAT?!" Mira started running over, but Zoey caught her before she could even make it a few feet. Rumi watched them for a moment, seeing Mira flail in the maknae's arms like a wild animal.
"Why were you in her room in the first place?!" Jinu snapped, getting the attention back onto him.
"I was going to eat on of her cactuses to piss her off. Then I had to throw up and decided that was good enough."
"First of all, it's cacti!" Mira yelled, still trying to break out of Zoey's grip. "Second of all, they're not cacti, THEY'RE SUCCULENTS!!!"
"Well, they do taste succulent," he said with a smirk.
"WHAT DOES THAT EVEN MEAN?!"
"Ok, you're cleaning up your own vomit and buying Mira new bedsheets," Jinu said firmly. "Go."
Baby groaned and started walking down the hall to Mira's room.
"AND YOU'RE BUYING HER A NEW MATTRESS IF YOU RUINED IT!" Rumi added.
"OH COME ON!"
"DON'T TAKE THAT TONE WITH ME!" Rumi yelled back. "Now..." She sighed, lowering her voice and turning to Mystery. "Where did you throw up?"
"Well... I tried to throw up in the toilet..." He said softly.
"That's great. Where did you fucking throw up?" She said through gritted teeth.
"The bathroom floor..."
Jinu pointed in the direction of the bathroom. "Go-"
"No, he's gonna hurt himself again. I'll clean it. But you need to STOP EATING GLASS!" She grabbed a mop and some cleaner from their supply closet and stormed off. "AND MAKE SURE MIRA DOESN'T KILL ANYONE!"
She entered the bathroom, sighing heavily as she saw the blood and bile staining the white tiles and porcelain toilet. At least he tried to get it in the toilet this time... She spent the next few minutes picking out the glass pieces and tossing them in the trash bag before scrubbing the dried puddle.
"Every fucking week he does this..." She mumbled to herself. "You'd think he'd learn by now. But noooooooooo he keeps eating it because it's crunchy!"
"Rumi-"
"I got it."
"Rumi." Jinu placed a hand on her shoulder, making her stop. "You've been awake for the past two days. You need to rest. I'll finish cleaning up." He kissed her temple and took the scrub brush out of her hands. "Go change into something comfy, alright?"
She smiled, pressing a gentle kiss to his lips before getting up. "Thank you, JiJi." She left the bathroom momentarily, sticking her head back in to say, "I'll be expecting couch cuddles when you're done!"
Jinu just turned back to smile at her.
Rumi finally left, getting changed into her comfiest set of pajamas (a bright pink Saja Boys pajama set) and heading to the living room.
"LET ME GO! LET ME KILL HIM!"
"MIRA, NO!"
"MIRA, YES!"
Rumi sighed and grabbed Mira's hands. "You aren't allowed to kill Baby-"
"I WANT TO!"
"Well, you can't!" Rumi gripped her hands tighter. "There's a rage room down the street. How about you and Zoey go there for a bit to blow off some steam?"
"Great idea!" Zoey tightened her grip and dragged Mira, who was quite literally kicking and screaming, out of the apartment.
As soon as they left, Rumi let out a heavy sigh. Finally.... Pure silence... She went to the couch and flopped down face first, moaning at the feeling of soft, comfy, pillowy, fluffy, cozy, cushiony...
She didn't know when she fell asleep, but when she woke up, she had her face shoved into Jinu's chest as some random show played in the background. She yawned softly, pulling away to stretch her aching joints.
"Sleep well?" Jinu asked, quickly pulling her back to his side when she was down.
"Better than ever." She nuzzled up to him, messing with the strings of his Huntrix hoodie. "I didn't think you'd actually wear this."
"And I didn't think you'd actually wear that," he said, pointing to the Saja Boys pajamas she was wearing.
"What? They're comfy," she said with a shrug. The apartment was still quiet, almost too quiet. Rumi looked over her shoulder, trying to catch a glimpse of one of their 6 roommates. "Where is everyone?"
"Mira and Zoey are still at the rage room, and I told the boys to be quiet so they're doing...something in Mystery's room."
"Ok... I don't like the sound of that..."
"As long as they're not dead, I do not care what they do right now." Jinu grabbed the remote as the kdrama ended, flipping through channels until he found something worthy of watching.
"Oh, I never got to watch this one," Rumi said, cuddling closer as Silence of Idol started to play.
Jinu scoffed in fake annoyance. "You never watched our episode? For shame, RuRu. For shame."
"I was busy! Now hush!" She giggled softly and turned her attention back to the TV.
The Saja Boys were in a makeshift bedroom set, practicing the choreo to Soda Pop for a "talent show" they had tomorrow. Halfway through, a whistle blew and the boys began to panic. Mystery immediately fell to his knees, face planting into the floor with his butt in the air. Romance and Abby dive bombed into a single bed, cuddling close and snoring loudly to fake sleep. Jinu curled up in a blanket and faced away from the door. And Baby just grabbed a toy hammer, standing beside the door with an evil smile on his face.
The chaperone came in a moment later, and Baby immediately started smacking whatever he could with the toy hammer. The chaperone just stared at him with a blank look on his face, and Baby just kept giggling and smacking him.
"We told Baby to play up the cutesy act for the show," Jinu said.
"He's doing a very good job." Rumi giggled and watched him run around with the toy hammer, trying to stop the chaperone from taking it away.
"Get back here!"
"Nuh-uh!" Baby giggled and tripped over Mystery, who was still face down on the floor. He curled up and whimpered, fake sobs escaping his mouth as he covered his face. The other four immediately ran over to him, trying to comfort him while the chaperone took the toy hammer and demanded they all go to sleep. As soon as the chaperone left, they dusted themselves off and started practicing the choreo again.
"Does Baby act like that the enti-"
"Yes," Jinu cut her off. "We all had so much fun tormenting the chaperone."
"You're not supposed to torment him!" Rumi giggled and smacked him in the face with a pillow. "I'll be surprised if they ever let you back on."
"Hey! Whatcha watching?" Zoey and Mira came up, both doused in a light sheen of sweat.
"The Saja Boys episode of Silence of Idol." The whistle blew again and instead of running to the beds, they all found a place on the floor. Mystery looked like he was meditating, Romance was in a "Paint Me Like One Of Your French Girls" pose, Abby was in a starfish pose pretending to sleep, Baby curled up in a blanket cocoon, and Jinu just stood on his knees and smiled at the chaperone.
"You guys do know you're not supposed to get caught, right?" Mira said.
"We didn't care." Jinu smiled at her and kept watching the episode.
"You girls have fun at the rage room?"
"Oh, loads," Mira said, leaving to go take a shower.
"I broke a big ass computer!" Zoey said, pumping her fists in the air.
Rumi smiled and plugged up her nose. "That's great! Now go take a shower. You smell like a dumpster."
"Jokes on you! I like the dumpster smell!" Zoey smiled and walked in the direction of the bathroom.
"....what?" Jinu turned to Rumi, hoping for an explanation.
"That's just Zoey's humor." Rumi shrugged and cuddled up to him again. "Wait. Is she going to the bathroom Mystery threw up in?"
"OW FUCK!"
"Yes she is."
Rumi sighed heavily. "I thought I cleaned up all the glass..."
"It's my fault. I'm the one who promised to clean it up." Jinu left the couch and walked over to the bathroom to help Zoey.
Rumi just sighed, curling up on the couch and flipping through the channels again. Most of the stuff they had on was either kdramas (boring), news (boring), or variety shows featuring LUNA-R (infuriating). She eventually tossed the remote aside, settling for watching their rivals perform one of their songs for some talkshow.
"Shine bright!
Like the morning star!
Like the Morningstar!
Starshine, you're gonna
Make it far!
Make it- Make it far!
Chase your dreams
Make your mark
Shine bright in the dark
Shoot for the moon
And land among
The Morningstar!"
Rumi made a few mocking noises, mumbling under her breath as they finished their performance.
"Thank you, thank you!" Luna bowed deeply, the other 3 following her lead. "It has been an honor to perform for our precious starshines! Until next time-" She paused, making the same stupid pose she always did with her group.
"LUNA-R IS LUNA-OUT!" The four said in unison, disappearing in a puff of cosmic smoke.
"Luna-r is luna-out meh meh meh..." Rumi rolled her eyes and turned off the TV, staring at the ceiling as the silence filled the air. Could they really do this again? The last demon band almost broke them apart. What if these demons were stronger, more resilient?
"Ugh! Shut up shut up shut up!" She pressed her hands to the sides of her head, squeezing them tight to try and push out all the bad thoughts.
"Don't make your head explode."
Rumi shot up from the couch, seeing the other four members of the Saja Boys entering the apartment with their arms loaded with cardboard boxes.
"What's in the boxes?" Rumi stood up from the couch and quickly made her alway over.
"Well hello to you too," Baby said, rolling his eyes.
"Hello, Baby. What do you have in those boxes?" She asked firmly.
"We wanted to do something nice for you after the whole...throw up incident-" Abby started.
"So we cleaned out your recording studio..." Mystery finished softly, holding out the box for Rumi.
"Aww, thank you, boys." She took the box in one arm and patted Mystery's cheek. "Wanna know what would make it up more?"
"Hmm?" He leaned into her touch, nuzzling her hand.
Rumi glared and squeezed his cheeks with one hand. "STOP EATING GLASS!"
Mystery whimpered like a wounded dog and did his best to nod.
Rumi smiled and patted his cheek. "Good boy." She set the box on the table with the others and started looking through it. "Damn, I forgot about half the stuff we left in here."
"Yeah, it's really good too!" Abby pulled out some pages of lyrics. "We got a little distracted when we were cleaning everything out, so we snooped around a little bit. But this one's really good!"
"Hmm? Which one?" Rumi peaked over his shoulder and tried to take the page.
"Rosey Afterglow," he said, handing it to her.
"Oh, it's not ours. It's Seek Love's. They just gave us some pages and videos to memorize the lyrics and choreo."
"Why do you have someone else's song?"
"It's actually a really cute story." Rumi gazed over the lyrics with a nostalgic smile on her face as she went back to the couch. "When both our groups were starting out, we needed some help getting popular. So we planned a heated rivalry that we acted all over the media. Things got wild. I think Mira actually into a fist fight with Nabi once. I don't remember. Anyway, a couple years ago, we decided to end our rivalry with one last social media battle. They covered one of our songs and we covered one of theirs, and whoever got the most likes across every platform was deemed the winner."
"Who won?" Romance was kneeling on the floor, his head placed delicately in her lap.
"Seek Love. They won by millions of likes." Rumi smiled and ran her fingers through his hair. "Afterwards we graciously decided to 'bury the hatchet' and went on a collab tour. That's actually how we found out they're demon hunters too."
"Really? Cool!"
"Yeah," Rumi said with a giggle, patting his head gently. "They're on tour more often then we are, so we don't get to hang out much, but we still talk and text. Oh, by the way, you didn't hear this from me-" She leaned close to Baby. "Bae, their maknae, is absolutely smitten with you."
"Who?"
"I'll show you some pictures later." She patted his cheek and looked back at the lyrics.
"We’re dancing in the rosey afterglow
Flaws like petals, let the real us show
In every shadow, we found our gold
Together we’re unbreakable"
"Working on a new song?" Jinu asked as he came into the room, trying to help Zoey walk.
"Oh, no. Just looking over one of Seek Love's."
"Oh, how're they doing?" Zoey asked, taking a seat beside her.
"They're doing great! They're working on a new album, De!ty. Bae sent me over some lyrics." Rumi pulled out her phone and showed it to Zoey. "I already know, this is going to top the charts."
"Oh this is sick! Does she need help with the instrumentals?"
"I think she has it under control." Rumi patted her shoulder and took her phone back. "But I'll let them know you offered."
"OUT OF MY SEAT, VERMIN!" Mira announced as she came into the room.
"HEY, THE RULE IS WHOEVER SITS IN THE BEANBAG FIRST GETS IT FOR THE DAY!" Baby yelled back.
Mira growled and straightened out the towel she was using to dry her hair. "GET! OUT! OF! MY! SEAT!" She yelled, smacking him with every word. Baby tried to block the hits to no avail, looking at the others in shock.
"You know, she's territorial over that beanbag," Jinu explained as he bandaged Zoey's foot.
"That doesn't mean she can hit me!!"
"Baby, get out of her seat. Mira, apologize for hitting him," Rumi sighed, rubbing her temples to stay calm.
"I GOT HERE FIRST!"
"I'M NOT APOLOGIZING TO HIM!"
Rumi glared at both of them. "Do you want to sleep on the roof tonight?"
Baby was up in a flash and ran to the other side of the long couch.
"You can't make me sleep on the roof, Rumi," Mira said as she flopped down.
"Oh, I can. And it's going to rain tonight," she said in a quietly threatening tone.
Mira glared at her for a moment or two, the gears turning in her head as she decided whether or not to call her on her bluff. "Sorry, Baby."
"Yeah, you better be sorry..."
Mira held up her towel threateningly. "What was that, vermin?"
"Ok, is that just your new favorite word?! Why the fuck did you start calling me vermin?!"
"Because you're a little rat and you threw up on my bed!"
"Maybe I'll do it again!!!"
"And maybe I'll slice your throat open!!!"
"OH YOU WANNA GO?!"
"IT'S ON, JACKASS!!!"
Mira summoned her Gok-Do and Baby transformed into his demon form, immediately rushing each other.
"IF YOU TWO LAY A FINGER ON EACH OTHER, I'M MAKING YOU SLEEP IN THE GET ALONG SHIRT!" Rumi bellowed, making the two stop mere inches from each other. The room became tense. Nobody moved, waiting to see what would happen.
And then Mira smacked Baby in the stomach with the blunt end of her Gok-Do, so Rumi stood up and marched to her bedroom.
"I DIDN'T LAY A FINGER ON HIM, I HIT HIM! THAT SHOULDN'T COUNT! RUMI! RUMIIIIIIIIII!"
She came back in with a quadruple extra large shirt, manhandling the two of them into it despite their protesting.
"I hate you so fucking much..." Baby grumbled as they walked back to the beanbag.
"You both should know by now that fighting gets you put in the Get Along Shirt," Romance said, pulling out his phone to take pictures.
"Literally, no one else gets put into the Get Along Shirt anymore except for you two!" Zoey exclaimed.
"You two better not pull this kind of stuff at the fansign tomorrow," Jinu said as he got up from the couch.
"Wait, the fansign is tomorrow?!" Rumi turned to him, looking shocked.
"....Rumi, my love, today is Thursday. Tomorrow is Friday. We're doing the joint fansign on Friday."
"I really gotta stop locking myself in the studio..." She grabbed Jinu's hand and led him to their bedroom, trying to ignore the angry grumbles and tussling of the two stuck in the Get Along Shirt.

Silence of Idol is an actual Korean show, where they have kpop idol groups have to pretend to sleep and try not to get caught by a chaperone. It's hilarious, I found it through KATSEYE's episode and they were MENACES. They don't pay the chaperone enough 😭😭😭

Thank you so much! :)
Haha, way to pile on the pressure. Yikes! Just kidding. Never wonder if I'll answer your preguntas, there's a 95% chance I will. I love questions!
The weather is sometimes bipolar. Like yesterday it was grey and rainy, but today it's sunny and BEAUTIFUL! The cherry blossoms look so freaking awesome in the sunshine! It's not always dark and dreary as everyone makes Seattle seem. It's quite lovely. Of course it rains, but that's because it's the Pacific Northwest. But when the sun shines here, there are times I get lost in how I feel like I'm back home in Los Angeles. That's just me though. But when it snows, which is supposed to be rare, but I've gotten to experience it 2 years in a row, is AMAZEBALLS. Especially when classes get cancelled. Sledding down hills, building snow men, snow angels, all that jazz. Dealing with the weather isn't a problem because if this is the place that you love, you won't let it get in your way.
Toughie. I cannot pinpoint my favourite things about UW. There are just so many things. Essentially I love EVERYTHING about this place. It's become my home. So much so that I'm seriously considering living here once I graduate. I couldn't have been more happier in my decision to commit to this place. I do like how close it is to downtown, and how there is no way to ever truly be bored because there are so many activities and clubs you can join. (Unless you ostracize yourself like a weirdo, then you're on your own bro.) Or most importantly watching the paranoid players in the Human vs Zombies game we have once a quarter. I laugh my butt off because they're so skittish when it comes to avoiding their opponents. But one of the best things about this place are the people. My advisers are kick ass. I would feel so overwhelmed if they weren't there to help me get through anything I'm having problems with. Though there are lots of kids on this campus and they have lots of students whom they help, but they seem to honestly care about each one individually. They introduce me to programs that I otherwise wouldn't' know much about. I'm very thankful and blessed in that aspect because some students don't always feel that way.
And my friends.. GURRL my friends are AMAZING and if & when you come here, you'll find that out about the friends you make. I've been friends with some people for a year and a half, others for 6 months, but it feels like I've known them my whole life.
Then there's Rick's Cafe. I volunteer there, but honey imagine a huge ass cone of ice cream. Imagine it right now. HUGE scoops. Now imagine how much it costs. Got that price? Well you're wrong. It's a dollar. A DOLLAR gurl. No tax. When you're having a tough week, just go drown your sorrows in ice cream. Fattening? Probably. Worth it? Most definitely.
I actually realized I do have a favourite thing. The pride you have for this place is astounding. I was never the school pride, go to games, deck myself in school colours kind of girl. But I am now. Going to games and meets you get this sense of belonging. Like for me, it keeps me in awe and I think to myself that there is no other place I'd rather be dressed in purple and damaging my vocal cords than the school you're thinking of attending.
Sorry this is so long. But the pressure made me babble and write a lot. :) I really hoped this helped. If not, just be specific and I'll try my very best. If you choose to be a Husky, all I gotta say is Welcome to the DAWG Pack!
Now my break is over and I've got to start heading to my next class. :)
