Not really me suggesting a ship but what are your thoughts on Luna x Big Mac from the MLP Comic series?

{{ It’s where I got the idea for shipping them in the first place actually! I thought it was incredibly cute! It’s actually this site’s main ship (with @bigmacintoshrp ). Sadly, I actually don’t read the comic, so I don’t know enough to rate it. But from what I’ve heard it’s just a few panels and in one she kisses him on the cheek. <3 }}

Shipping meme, Luna and Big Mac

Big Mac is used to doing manual labour and chores, so he would be the most likely to come in after a long day and collapse on the sofa out of exhaustion.

makes friends with the neighbors

Big Mac is a pony of few words, even if he does get on with his friends and family. Luna would be the more likely one to be sociable, though I reckon the two of them would live Canterlot palace or in a high-end home, so they probably wouldn’t have any close neighbours.

is the adventurous eater

Big Mac is not one to divert from his family’s apple diet, meanwhile Luna is always willing to try new foods and cuisines. Being outside the castle gives her a chance to act outside her regal background.

hogs the covers at night

Being the princess of the night, Luna is much more active at night, so she leaves Big Mac to have as much of the covers as he likes. Given his large size, he needs a lot of cover at night.

forgets to do the dishes

Luna isn’t used to doing menial chores around the house, but Big Mac really doesn’t mind, since he did chores whenever he could back at the farm.

tries to surprise their partner more often

Big Mac does what he can when he can to show his love and respect for Luna, such as making her a nice dinner or taking her out somewhere. Luna is humbled and supports him in his tasks.

leaves dirty laundry on the floor

Big Mac has been known to leave his overalls and such around after a long day working. Luna is irritated by it at times, but Mac doesn’t usually leave them lying around for too long.

stays up til 2 AM reading

Luna, no doubt about it. Not only is she known for keeping up late, but Big Mac has never really gotten into reading as a hobby.

As expected, Big Mac is not really a singer. While Luna on the other hand has vocals that are rich and sweet to Mac’s ears in the morning.

takes the selfies

Given the chance, Luna would revel in the chance to take selfies of her and Big Mac. Mac himself wouldn’t really be into it himself, but he’d be more than tolerant of Luna’s obsession.

plans date night

Luna is much knowledgeable of all the best dating opportunities and would definitely be much more likely to plan a night out with Big Mac.

Ship ask from the other night: LunaMac

The ship is my: second one to involve Big Mac. My first one was with him and Fluttershy, but that kinda died out for me ship not really having any footing. I got into the idea of LunaMac after I read issues #9 and #10 of the main MLP comic series. If you read them, you’ll see why. It’s actually a really cool arc, a nice change of scene from the other action-oriented arcs.I consider this ship’s feelings: Mutual | Mixed | Strange | Awkward | Platonic | Sibling-like | One-sided | They don’t really like each other |

It’s an interesting one, I’ll give you that. Big Mac and Luna have kind of got a case opposites attract, but they also have some subtle similarities as well.

I’d consider the relationship: Healthy | Awkward | Abusive | Doesn’t work properly | They’d never get together |

Not gonna lie; he’s a farm hand (or would that be farm hoof?), she’s a royal princess. If they did fall for each other, finding the time to be with each other would be tricky. Still you never know...

Children: No | Yes | They’d think about it

I think they maybe there might be an issue with Big Mac being an earth pony or his background, but the show’s all about tolerance, they’d find a way around it if there ever was a problem.

General Opinion: Admittedly, this probably isn’t a very popular ship, for whatever reason. But I’m fully willing to support it and I’d be over-joyed to see it become canon. It’s unlikely, but there are far stranger ships.

My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic

The first character I first fell in love with:

Pinkie Pie. She was the focus character of the first episode I watch, Feeling Pinkie Keen.

The character I never expected to love as much as I do now:

Rarity. For a while she was my least favourite of the Mane 6; I didn't hate her or anything, the other characters just had more to them that interested me. However, during season 4, I did take a liking to her and she gained my respect. Nowadays I like each of the Mane 6 about the same for their own reasons.

The character everyone else loves that I don’t:

It's tough, but if you were to twist my arm and force me to choose, I would probably have to go with Spike. I don't hate him, I really don't, there just isn't really all that much to him. His focus episodes are all over the quality spectrum and his lines are pretty hit and miss.

The character I love that everyone else hates:

Aside from a set few, it's pretty hard to think of a character that EVERYONE hates (I'll get to that later); but I dunno, I'll just go with a character I straight-up love and just say why, so I'll go with Sweetie Belle.Sweetie Belle is a character that grew on me over time. I can identify with her in some ways, like being a younger sibling, not being taken seriously at some of the worst of times and not really knowing what I'm going to do in life.

Though to be completely honest, the main reason I like her is because I think she's the cutest character on the show. She has some great lines, she's funny and her voice actress does a great job bringing her character to life.

The character I used to love but don’t any longer:

Probably Fluttershy. I mean I still like her and think that she has a fair bit of complexity, but I just have my interests in other areas of the show now.

The character I would totally smooch:

Let's say this is going on Equestria Girls canon to make this look a little less weird. I'd probably go with Rarity; her EG design has something that has me really liking it and she has a nice element of grace to her that I really respect. The other Mane 6 would be fairly nice as well, but I'd say Rarity comes a little higher in this respect.

The character I’d want to be like:

Applejack. A strong focus on her work, great physical prowess, an honest frame of mind, things that I wish I had.

The character I’d slap:

Diamond Tiara, no doubt about it. She's the one character on the show that I completely despise. She's poorly written, unbearable to watch and listen to, a literal one trick pony and everything about her is just downright unpleasant. I've yet to meet one person who actually likes her.

A pairing that I love:

After it's hinting in issue #10 of the main comics series, I've actually really taken a big liking to LunaMac (Princess Luna & Big Macintosh). I think they worked well with each other's characters during their time in the comics and they're a really great example of opposites attract. While the likelihood of them getting together or even acknowledging one another in the show is nigh-impossible, I stick like the idea of them getting together.

A pairing that I despise:

Sweetie Belle & Button Mash. Yes, I know this is kind of cheating because Button Mash is 75% fan character, but the stuff I see of them together says otherwise! Sweetie references his existence a grand total of ONCE and everyone runs to their tablets to make them an OTP. I probably wouldn't mind it so much if they had something going for them, but I see absolutely no reason for them to see something in one another. At least LunaMac had a conversation!
