like a fluorescent sign twinkling in the window Left to be alone, may her spirit sadden and dwindle

The angry moth girl, lies down on distrust Her lungs quicken, she coughs out the dust they fall asleep in a bed coated Crimson, hours later the moon has risen She dances in her dalliance with the stars, shortly to be kicked back into life outside of bars She was strictly platonic, but no one could tell. her fingers traced the backs of the men who could only yell. She inhaled the things people told her she was, and spat out the hatred she felt it because There’s no golden light and you aren’t colored blue, please don’t come inside. no sir, keep your shoes. Get out the ink and needles, let’s do something permanent. Posies and grass stains just want do the trick- this is urgent. Dress her in red hues and put her to rest, she’s destroyed and burnt her only nest. Listen to the nature of this moment, the anger could not be more potent Please, turn your back on them and get away, their brains are rotted, their nails are broken, you need to stray.

As our heads lay together and our hearts apart, we recall the old whispers of “we are eternal” the itch of our regrets keep us awake, there’s no sleeping for us- we’ve become nocturnal.
