Reading through this incredible Taxidermy book that my mother-in-law got me for Christmas. If you have never heard of William Hornaday, I would suggest some doing light reading. This book is incredibly interesting..from a historical and/or artistic point of view. Hornaday essentially pioneered the “taxidermy industry” as we know it today and we still employ many of his methods in museums and galleries. He’s the father of the conservation movement and is the reason buffalo are not extinct today or that you cannot kill and skin a hummingbird. Such an interesting man, I recommend reading about him if you haven’t heard of him and are interested in or own any taxidermy. Amethyst from @lunaprosperity, amethyst ring from @4.5billion. Spent a little time playing with some sage and my crystals. This wooden moon dish from @killstarco is perfect to set some of my gems in! Both Quartz clusters, selenite wand, and black amethyst are from @lunaprosperity. Labradorite crystal ball is from @regalrose. Purple amethyst is from childhood 🙈 so no shop name.
