What if Cyberchase was a show for Teens
Inspired by @elmushterri on YouTube and Tumblr, and Also partly Athena P / @what-is-my-aesthetic
I was watching El Mushterri a while back I got inspired to try to turn a kid show into one for teens but I couldn’t figure out which one, I recently rewatched Athena P’s lore video on Cyberchase and that when it hit me, I should do Cyberchase but for teens (most just me giving more logic) but still I’m gonna try so please follow me with my BS
Idea-Cyberchase is an online website that is know for it educational games in Mathematics and Environmental Science catering to grades kindergarten-12th grade, but no one knows Where is came from it just appear on the internet one day, it was actually created by a technology goddess named Motherboard who became trapped in the internet so she created people to keep her company she created Dr. Marbles, The Hacker, and everyone else within Cyberspace, each Cybersite is really one of the games, some real people have been turned into NPCs or Player characters in games.
The Hacker and Motherboard once had a Mother-Son relationship, he was determined to help Cyberspace and help protect Motherboard he create many great inventions to help and acted as Dr. Marbles assistant but Dr. Marbles became Jealous of The Hacker’s brilliance and his skills so he started taking credit and blamed Hacker for his(Marbles) failures which angries Hacker, everyone believed him and began to be rude to Hacker which saddened and angered him, one day he couldn’t take it anymore and threatened to tell Motherboard of Marbles’ misdeeds with evidence he had Dr. Marbles not wanting to lose his job as Motherboard’s lead mechanic/scientist he released a virus onto Motherboard and made it look like Hacker did it so Hacker’s battery was partly drained by Marbles and banished to the Northern Frontier, angry at being framed as villain even his own Mother believe he was evil Hacker had a Megamind moment and decided “If everyone says I’m the villain, Then I’ll Be The Villain!” Hacker began sending virus attacks to Cybersites and sometime Motherboard while also working to find a more permanent power source to fix his battery, he created 3 minions to help Digit, Buzz, and Delete, but Digit end up leaving him. He not wanting to be evil which actually hurt Hacker deeply.
Four friends, Matt, Jackie, Inze, and *Jay(My Oc deal with it) met in the library of their school to test out a new map their Motherboard saw their potential to help so she sucked them into Cyberspace, and recruited them to help, while a bit apprehensive they eventually agree, and so basically the show happens
So basically, Dr. Marbles is the real villain, he made Hacker seem like a villain when he’s the one who made Motherboard sick, he pretends to try and work on cures when in reality he’s just making it look like he is so he can still seem like a hero and be useful, meanwhile Hacker isn’t as bad as he is, he’s secretly work on a real cure for Motherboard.
The finale in my Au would be a multi parter(more than 2) The kids+Digit would find the evidence of Dr. Marbles misdeeds and how he was the one who made Motherboard sick, they would then go to Hacker to talk with him there Hacker would reveal the cure he’s completed to help Motherboard but before he could give it to her Dr. Marbles would take it so he could keep helping a chase/fight would insure ending with Delete dying protecting Buzz say “Looks like I lived up to my name! Keep going guys I believe in you” angry another fight would happen and it would end with Marbles defeated and Motherboard Finally being cured, she would apologize to Hacker and make it public knowledge that Marbles lied and Hacker was the true hero! The series would end with Marbles in jail, a memorial Cybersite being created for Delete and a party happens and the series would end there
