Beach Babes // Luna & Maya
Summer meant one thing and one thing only: sweet frozen treats. Popsicles, gelato, snow cones, milkshakes, the works. How else was Maya expected to survive this tremendous heat? Pretending she was in a far-off desert land only worked for so long. (She'd rather be in a dessert land, heehee~!) And today was a scorcher. Her ice-cream melted on her spoon before she even lifted it it to her mouth! As appetizing as chocolate-chip soup was, Maya decided that there were more efficient ways to cool down.
"Hellooo~♪" Maya chimed with the bell that rang over her head. The tailoring shop was draped in Summer's bright colors. Beach umbrellas, bathing suits, and all sorts of towels joined the usual line of dresses and trousers. They seemed to have gone all-out with the theme, too. Little shells from the beach decorated the displays and Maya laughed when she picked up a conch, peering into the hole with one eye as if she expected a sea creature to still be living in it. When she found no such thing, Maya set it back down and went to work trying to find one of the sisters.
She spotted pink before blue, and with a grin she bobbed on over to Luna at the counter.
"Hey, Lulu~" Maya greeted. "It's so hot today! I can't even sit in one place without getting all gross and sweaty!" A small pout made it's way onto her face but it was soon replaced with a smile. "You wanna come take a little dip in the ocean with me? The beach is really pretty and we can probably find all sorts of neat things in the sand!" Maya hoped that Luna would agree. It was really no fun spending the day at the beach all by herself, and it had been so long since she had last spent time with the other girl.
