[act like this isn’t troubling information, maybe flex a little in the process] ⮞ What? Bullshit there’s a price on my head, show me the receipt.

[Sitanna]: “Oh, don’t worry. I don’t think he knows. And even if he did, you aren’t the only one on this station with blood on your hands.” Her eyes are stunning, but more than a little bit invasive. Like she can see through flesh and bone and has had an opinion on it all since before your birth.

[continue to pretend not to be concerned] ⮞ Hard to get out without blood on your hands, these days. But I’d appreciate it all the same if you kept that bit of intel to yourself. Listen, you tell anyone, I’ll wring your pretty neck, got it?

[Sitanna]: She rises, flashing a smile. Soft lips cover frightfully sharp teeth. Fetching a clean towel off the rack, she crosses the room to present it in offering, dangling the fabric from a single diabolical claw. “I’ll keep your secret, Wynter, though I would hardly call it safe. Here.”

⮞ [take the towel] Thanks. On both accounts, I guess... I saw you in the cafeteria before, didn’t I? [take the towel and make a point of drying down as sensually as possible] [fumble the towel]

[Sitanna]: “That’s right.” She’s very close, suddenly. Her scent is transportive, plunging you into the warm summer afternoons of your youth in a bed of flowers, hot sun tempered by a cool breeze. But the touch of her nails is like fire ants when she touches you. Like bee stings. They set the hairs on the back of your neck to standing. “Am I making you nervous, Wynter? Are you frightened of me?”

[scoff with as much bravado as you can muster and puff out your chest] M-maybe a little bit. ⮞ I’m not frightened of much, any more. So, no.

[Sitanna]: “Maybe you should be.” She departs, then, warm summer afternoon pulled from your flesh, leaving you with a cold sweat and a shiver.

(i think you’re comfy with me answering publicly since it’s an ask meme, but if not let me know!) 1) when did you start coding?

Around 2015! I had been messing around with editing my tumblr themes for a while and wanted to make my own with all the features I wanted. After I got the hang of that, I started releasing them for public use!

2) are you self-taught? how did you learn?

I am self taught! I learned by following tutorials first, but that wasn’t really giving me a full understanding. I looked at codecademy after, but that still only really covered the basics. It was super helpful to give me a better visualization of what I was making and the process behind building the html structure for a page, though!

I started looking up things on w3schools whenever I encountered something new, and eventually moved on to mdn web docs. Mdn web docs and css tricks are my personal favorites!

I eventually did take college classes, but mostly to have an “official” degree if that makes sense. I didn’t learn anything new haha. I eventually became the new teacher for those courses.

13) any advice for beginners?

It’s okay if a code you’re working on doesn’t end up how you want it. It’s okay if you end up having to start over. It’s not a failure or waste of time, and it doesn’t mean you’re bad at what you’re doing.

And don’t stop catching up on new things in the language(s) you’re learning. I’m always looking up solution for problems I encounter that I don’t know how to fix yet. I usally look at css tricks or codrops for new ideas/concepts. Codepen is also good for this too. I’ve learned so much by doing this honestly.

20) where do you get your inspiration from?

I’ve mentioned this a bit in the other answers, but codrops is a huge inspiration to me. I like looking at video game UI for interaction ideas as well.

Your response on the simblr post was dead-on. I wish I could enjoy planning content here but it’s not at all anymore, I’m not sure if it ever really was that gratifying tbh. I really related to your feelings of anxiety and feeling like you have to use Reshade just to make your posts worthy of notes. The whole thing is super exhausting and takes all the joy out of the game.

It’s so annoying how stressful it is to be a simblr. I used to run a one direction blog and that was so easy breezy and no one cared about anything and it was so lovely. I’ve never really felt like i belonged anywhere, and especially don’t feel like that with the simming community. Unless you’re shipping the right sims and making the best looking content, or cc, you’re not worth a dime. And this is just a game, but people take it way too seriously and I just can’t get behind that band wagon. I’m glad I’m not alone in this though. Makes me feel a little better knowing that.

the toughest question 😔 my diplomatic answer is usually that

TS2 has the most storytelling built in

TS3 has the most diversity in terms of playability

TS4 has the best CAS and runs the best.

Overall, I’d probably have to give it to TS3? The first LEPacy I ever played was one of my very favorite playthroughs and I had so much fun with it... The game still has a lot of stuff to explore and discover, even now. I honestly would still be playing it if it didn’t keep uninstalling my store content every single time I quit the game 🙃
