Never say “NEVER” Never, did I ever think that I would be posting a pic of me wearing the Luna Top by @namaste_and_crochet I’m a plus size 2XL with a 44” bust (and yes, I’m wearing a bra …for those who think you can’t wear these designs because you “have to wear a bra”) As many of you know, I’m a huge fan of Dominique’s designs. They are the epitomy of everything I dreamed of. When I first saw her designs, I said to myself….”I would make everything she designs…..but, I’m too fat to wear them“ And the doubts set in…… Because, like many of you, I have seared in my brain that certain clothes are just not meant to be worn by plus size people. Now, I’m gunna cry….This amazing community….ALL OF YOU IN THIS FIBER ARTS COMMUNITY have given me something that I never believed was possible……. THE BELIEF THAT I AM WORTHY, I am beautiful, and most of all the ability to show off my body in beautiful makes that I have created with my own hands (with the help of some amazingly talented designer’s patterns) and not hide behind my clothing. You have given me the strength, encouragement, and the power to stand up for those of us: fat, plus size, big, hefty, (and however else you want to say it) women. I wish I could be a voice in your head that tells you that you beautiful and worthy of setting up and reaching every goal you think you can’t even consider because of your size.
