Bees #lunchonette in #Greenpoint #Brooklyn on Nassau and N Henry... This place goes back like car seats in my memory - it was the spot we used to go to after church on #Sundays to get a burger with fires and a coke or a shake... It was old school with a full wood paneled telephone booth with folding doors and a seat - we used to play gangsta in their pretending to call in a hit on someone... • • • Bee’s Lunchnette became victim of #gentrifukation (my term - I want my props) about 10 years ago when some wack ass called the Health Dept to complain about the rags she used to clean the tables... It broke her... Bee was the luncheonette and the luncheonette was Bee... When the Health Dept visited her they shut her down for not keeping up with all the new tangled health codes... Bee didn’t need those health codes she served everything and everyone with love...
