And as he said so, one of his fingers quickly pressed the closer key, touching it before lifting, the sound that little movement produced echoing in the room before dying out. “The note will be heard anyway, and it will be more pleasant to hear.” Seeing the man maltreating those poor keys and hearing the notes coming out the piano was an offense to his eyes and ears. Thankfully he was a patient teacher.
