I realised F1 started again. And there's a lot of talk about new regulations. Are you in on the loop?
There's DNS drama? A wholesome podium? (Child labour?)
Helloooo! Yes, F1 makes new regulations every few years, and this year is one of those years!! Brand new mechanisms after discarding old ones, yada yada yada. I'm honestly too familiar with them myself?? But I can tell you what I know!!
Most importantly, there's a new power unit structure. It gives more importance to electric power than previous regulations. There's new ways to handle these batteries, that give a lot of extra power after charging some. There's a new thing called a "boost" button that is self explanatory. And a new "overtake" mode that gives you higher speed for a longer period of time in exchange for some extra electrical power. It basically replaces the DRS from last regulations!!
DNS drama... Yeah, the regulations have been chaotic. McLaren is struggling a lot (they had a double DNS this race, and a single DNS last race). (McLaren are the current world championships (2025)). Aston Martin cars are almost harmful to it's drivers because of a risk of nerve damage. Mercedes have built an absolute rocketship of a car, and Ferrari are doing really well too!!
Child labour HAHAHAH Yes, today's podium is super duper wholesome :))) even Hamilton vs Leclerc was such a delight to watch for most of the race!! Glad you're enjoying yourself too o77 lmk if there's anything else you wanna know!!
