lupusdraconis replied to your post “Twitch vs. Picarto: Thinking About Streaming Platforms”
I personally prefer Picarto by far. The fact that you can categorize yourself by the type of art you do makes you much more discoverable than any other stream service I have found. There's a fee categories thay have a lot of competition (like Illustration), so you can expect a slower influx there. Nevertheless, Picarto is still my platform of choice and I always get more traffic there than on Twitch. And multistreaming is incredibly fun if you or someone else has a sub.
I can appreciate that Picarto has helped you gain a following that Twitch may not be able to provide, but after having worked with Picarto for a while I think I might be better off with twitch. I don’t have to pay for video logs, custom emotes are free, I can host other streams when I’m offline, and there are benefits that Picarto cannot provide. Plus getting out of a place that’s capped at 600kbps really does wonders for the quality.
Now, in regards to Picarto, I streamed in the Character Design community (since I tend to design monsters and the like lately), and did manage to get followers there, but maybe one or two out of the 16 that did decide to follow stopped by regularly. Outside of the followers amount, I was lucky to get maybe one or two people watching the stream. The rest disappeared though they remained following me. As well, I had heard recently that Picarto pretty much is where people go to watch furry porn streams, which I had not yet heard or noticed until it was brought up during a conversation. When I decided to investigate the claim that Picarto was notorious for NSFW content streams I noticed that indeed, most of the streamers were concentrated in the furry or anime community, and there was a high concentration in mature content in those two areas, both for streaming and viewers. It kind of became obvious what got attention there and decided to find someplace else.
That said, I’m glad you managed to find a following on there, and are having fun. It’s just not a platform for me.

Good luck! There is a chance the bird can get sick from the cat’s attack but if it’s eating that’s a good sign. Such a cute!

Made myself some business cards! There have been a few instances where they would’ve been really useful. I got them printed through Vistaprint and they look really nice! Good color, nice and crisp, I’m really excited to use these!

A solid knowledge of first aid (particularly with inperfect materials), wilderness survival, animal behavior, and sources of natural food.
Can make bandaids out of animal intestine. Work on finding us some natural aspirin. Everyone’s menstrual cycles are coming up and we need something to stem those cramps.
Lupus Draconis Field Guide
Quick rundown of the LDs: They eat a LOT, anything high-energy, and can digest rotten meat/bone. They hold huge territories alone or in pairs. They can breathe fire, and use it for aerial, distance, and nighttime communication. The gaseous fuel for their fire comes from digestion.
Desert: Large size, short fur, big soaring wings. Extra plating to reflect sunlight. They search from the air for prey in burrows, then dig.
~~~~~~~~~~~
Forest: Small, fox-size, short wings. They live/hunt in packs, and have white-tipped tails to signal each other. Can climb trees to eat eggs.
~~~~~~~~~~
Arctic: Large and flightless. Their small wings fold underneath a heavy mantle of fur. Primarily scavengers, they share kills with bears.
~~~~~~~~~~
Swamp: Medium size, shaggy sloth-like fur. They use their wings to make themselves buoyant and wait in the water for prey to come close. ~~~~~~~~~~
Cenote Diver: They fly from cenote to cenote and fish in the water. Long necks and long faces for lunging. The only LDs that can hover. ~~~~~~~~~
Coastal: They dig out burrows on/in cliffs. Small body, largest wings, they ride air currents and skim for fish. Pelican-like throat pouch. ~~~~~~~~
Domestic: A very high-class pet, but expensive and impractical. Imagine if you had a cat the size of a dog. They knock -everything- over.
