The Heated Encounter
Flames licked up from the dragon’s weapon of choice, the crackling causing an eerie roar to come from within, much like a sound the beast it was modeled upon would make. Not to mention it was similar to the sound the woman wearing it was making, teeth bared in a vicious snarl, eyes aglow, scaled skin shifting as if she was preparing to transform. But not yet. Not yet. Chin raised, she stared at the bestial woman with a look of unrepentant scorn and an absolute lack of fear. Even if she could feel the brand of the mark on her, she was not going to give Nidalee the satisfaction of thinking she had frightened her, not even the the slightly downward quirk of a lip or the furrow of a brow. “Your mark will run out in time, and you will refuse to attack me even before then. You fear my might, so I do not fear you.” The dragon spat the words, the edge of her voice taking on an unsettling edge, somewhere between her human tone and the tone she had in her dragon form.
Still, the cat felt the need to taunt her, and it served well in increasing her fury, muscles bulging against scaled skin. Teeth - swiftly becoming too large for her humanoid mouth - jutted out, making any speech difficult, stilted. Her foot scraped against the ground, left unbooted either out of a lack of caring or a lack of necessity. The scales on the bottom of her foot were softer than those on most of her body, but were still tougher than human skin. More than enough to handle whatever the jungle could throw at her. Well, most anything. Her skin was tough, but that didn’t mean it was hard to get under it, especially for the one thing she wasn’t always prepared for - the individual before her.
This huntress who enraged her and interested her both.
Right now the former was winning out.
"Taunting a dragon will only lead to your demise, cat!" Shyvana roared out taloned hands curling around the handles of her weapons. Part of her wanted to put down the gauntlets, her claws would be more than enough to tear out the feline’s eyes. Perhaps when the counter was over. Her body tensed with anticipation.
Nidalee observed the female before her, the gradual changes she was going through made her more than interested to see a full transformation up close, though that wasn't possible. Thanks to her taunts and teases, the dragon before her was riled. So a close inspection of her transformation was totally off the cards. Perhaps she's be allowed to witness it in a more civil environment with the female though. Time will tell. The tips of her fingers curled even tighter around her spear, and eyes slightly narrowed. The Huntress was by far scared, she was more cautious since she wouldn't appreciate any unexpected advances. Whilst the Huntress' marked ticked away on the dragoness, it gave Nidalee the time to think of an escape. Where her traps would be going, what bushes to travel through, when to change her form, when to toss a spear and when to stand and fight. Thanks to the infinitely tough scales however, this wasn't going to be as easy as she would like. That being said, she welcomed a challenge with open arms.
Nidalee noticed the speed of her transformation changing with the more she was taunted. It was an interesting concept.. Transformations being triggered by emotion. A concept of which Nidalee fortunately didn't have to deal with. The pair had a strange choice of battle outfit. Nidalee's being soft, easy to penetrate with anything vaguely sharp. Whereas Shyvana's attire was a lot more sensible in parts. But such is expected from the Demacian dragoness. The Huntress took a deep breath, that was more out of exasperation than it was of fear. If she was to die, she'd simply respawn. But that was if the worst came to the worst.
With a renewed grin, the Bestial Huntress gave a quick crack of the neck and back. The seconds ticking away on her passive ability were counting up to it's end. Let the fun begin!
"I'm not so sure it will, dragoness! You're obviously blinded by your own fury!" Retorted the Huntress, emptying a dry laugh from her lips before making a break for the nearest bush - hoping Shyvana would follow. A game of cat and mouse was always so much fun! "Come and get me if you think you're fast enough."
