“H... huh?” Hibiya wasn’t the type to get particularly invested in stranger’s requests’ for help, but this one ought to take the cake—especially as he hadn’t noticed there was a cat only ten centimetres from him until the older boy called for him to catch it. Instantly paling, taking a step away from the cat rather than towards it, he clamps his mouth shut hard against the sudden urge to vomit.
He brings his gaze slowly up, as away from the thing as possible, though the traffic is hardly a good place to look now that time is on his mind. Trembling slightly, hopefully unnoticeably, he tries to nudge it with his foot, his thoughts reduced to a prayer that it would run away, far far away. Fearing his failure too much to look down and see if he’s succeeded, he turns to face the boy, glaring, yelling (as if he doesn’t, he’ll cry). “W-why would I catch it?! It probably has... fleas, or... or s-something!”
