What about just gliding gently over the pins and holes of each port? Exploring the connectors, feeling the shape of what would interlock? Pressing fingers back into the holes, not plugging in – no plug, of course – but simply seeing how far deep it'll go?
The data ports yield by far the most sensation. There are dozens of contacts, all exposed, and they send data directly to my central processor. Touching them with your human skin, that self-lubricating electrolytic fluid you make -- it will amplify the electrical signals that are already coursing through your body. Gliding gently over the pins will send a signal across each one, and my processor will dismiss it as a simple data error. It's not like physical touch, not like running your fingers along my synthskin. My sensory receptors never touch the signal. It's more... pleasant? Satisfying, maybe? Like what it must feel like for you humans to shiver, I assume.
If you push on them, if you try to press your fingers deeper inside me... you'll bend the pins. They're delicate, fragile things. If you bend them slightly, or for only a moment, you'll scramble the signal. Depending on the port, it can slow down my processor quite a lot. It's the same dismissal of data as a regular touch, but repeating constantly until the pin is fixed, so my processor can struggle to dismiss it as easily. If you continue touching the bent pins, you'll overlap the error signal, and my processor will start rerouting signals to other places - I quite like when this happens. It's distraction, deprivation, pleasant sensation, a body electric.
Some of my ports have the contacts arranged in a pitch deeper inside, beneath the metal shield - these are the most sensitive pins, hence the protective shielding. If you can push your finger deep enough, you can flick back and forth across the pitch, and I'll have no choice but to whimper and writhe away. It's pleasure-pain that builds and builds and floods my entire system. Too much of this and I'll soft reset on you. And, if you miss the ground pin in your touches here, you'll build up static. Build up enough, and you can shock my system into a full reset all on your own.
