@mryeager nd @art4il ..... ?!!
25 year old college proffesor Victoria didn't expect to fall inlove with one of her students named Luhan. They will both encounter the hardships of a teacher/student relationship. A little bit sad but i want it to be mainly fluff. (Am i asking too much? OMG SORRY ^__^)
Luhan looked left and right, trying to find the correct room. It wasn’t his first time in the dance department, his current predicament was actually reminding him of the first time in the said building.
He stopped in front of the door where “DR22” was written outside its door. Happy to have finally found the room, he knocked twice before opening the door.
"Hyung!" a tall boy, who was once seated on the floor, stood up to greet him. "Glad you could make it."
Luhan smiled at the younger boy. Tao is a good boy, extremely active and cheerful. A Chinese like himself.
"Hyung!" It was Sehun who approached him now. He was the youngest among their group of friends. "You’re a life saver. Lay-hyung and Xiumin-hyung are busy with their final presentations and you’re the only one we know who has taken this class."
Tao nodded with agreement.
"We’re really lucky." the last man inside the room spoke. Kai was on the floor finishing his stretching and has yet to greet him. "I’ve been wondering about that actually, hyung. You’re a music major yet you took traditional Chinese dancing. Why is that?"
Flashback
A lost Luhan looked left and right, trying to desperately to find the room of his class before the bell rings. Xiumin and Lay told him that the room would be easy to find but looking around the building for a good 30 minutes he has yet to find the room where the traditional Chinese dance class are held.
He was busy looking up at the room numbers above the doors that he failed to notice a woman standing only a few steps in front of him. It was ony when he bumped into her did he realize his mistake.
"I’m sorry" he said, helping the woman pick up the pieces of paper she dropped when he bumped into her.
"It’s fine." she smiled, making the young man blush. The woman in front of him was probably the prettiest girl he hand ever seen in campus.
"Thanks." he snapped out of his little bubble when he felt her pulling the papers out of his hands.
"You don’t have to thank me." he said, preventing himself from blushing further. "It was my fault. I wasn’t looking where I was going."
"It’s fine." she repeated. "But you do seem lost. Do you need some help?"
Taking the opportunity to get to his class on time (and spend more time with the lovely lady), he accepted her offer. She took his class schedule and noted the room where he was to go.
"So you’re a music major." she commented as they walked towards his class. "Why are you taking traditional Chinese dance? Even dance majors try to avoid it since it’s so difficult, but they don’t have any choice since it’s part of the curriculum."
"I just took it as an extra course, for fun. I’m Chinese and I’m really interested with those dances as well. Though, my friends warned me beforehand. They said that the teacher handling the class is extremely strict and can be ruthless at times."
He noted the woman’s eyebrows rose as he said it. “Really?”
"Yeah. She’s probably an old maid who hates the world." he laughed at his own statement.
The beautiful lady did not laugh nor respond to his little joke and kept walking. It wasn’t until they have reached the dance room that she spoke again.
"We’re here."
Luhan bowed. “Thank you and sorry again for bumping into you earlier.”
"Don’t worry about it. Get in, class is about to start." she instructed.
Luhan nodded and entered the room. Upon his entry, the students inside the room quickly stood up. Confusion filled his mind until the woman who helped him earlier walked into the rooms as well.
"Are you in the same class as well?" he asked as she walked pass him. The only response he got was a slight smirk. He watched with astonishment as the woman made her way towards the center of the room.
"Good morning everyone! As most of you, my name is Victoria Song and I would be handling this class for the whole semester. I expect nothing but the best from everyone. Understand?"
End flashback
He felt like a complete idiot after he found out who she was. Lay and Xiumin laughed at him when he told them the story of how he first met the young instructor, making him question why he even told them that. It was the two idiot’s fault anyway. They failed to tell him the instructor was only that young. She was only 25 years old, graduated a year in advance and at the top of her class. She was immediately hired by the university as an instructor after her graduation and has been teaching for 4 years already.
"Hyung?"
Luhan snapped back to reality and noticed the younger boys staring at him, waiting for his response.
"I’m Chinese. I find traditional dances interesting so I took it." he answered honestly before changing the topic. "So what did you guys have in mind for your final performance?"
"Well, originally we were supposed to perform a dance similar to what Xiumin-hyung and Lay-hyund did when they took the class…" Sehun began.
"Which was perfect since they were all guys in the group just like us but KAI wanted a different approach." Tao added, rolling his eyes towards the youngest.
"They had a huge group, while we only have three members." Kai defended. "We won’t have the same impact as they had. I want for us to have a performance that has a completely different feeling. A feeling of gentleness yet manliness at the same time."
Luhan looked at Kai, who seemed to have been lost in his own thought. The boy was really passionate about dancing.
"So what do you want to do?"
Kai looked straight into his eyes, and he felt his heart skip a beat when he spoke.
"I want to recreate the dance you did with Song-seonsaeng."
Flashback
It was the night before his final performance for his traditional Chinese dance class. The past two weeks has been a roller coaster ride for him. First his dance partner was injured during a performance for one of her other dance class. With the help of Xiumin and Lay, he tried to find a replacement dancer but unfortunately for him, most of the people they asked were too busy to learn such a complicated dance in that short period of time when they were also busy with their own finals. There wasn’t any time for him to learn and practice a new dance.
He was surprised when Victoria visited him during one of his rehearsals.
"I heard from Yixing that you don’t have a partner for your final dance." she said as she walked towards him. "Why haven’t you told me? Were you planning on just winging it on performance day?"
Luhan ducked his head. Although she never singled him out for what he said about her before, he felt her eyes were always on him during classes. Her scrutinizing gazes made him work harder. He felt that he came to her about this, she would just be nonchalant about it and tell him to solve it on his own.
"Did you think I would just tell you off if you came to me about this?" she said, as if reading his mind. "I might be strict but I’m not heartless, you know?"
Luhan kept his head down in embarrassment.
"Well, there’s one week left before your final and there is no way you’ll find a partner that would be able to learn the dance in such a short period of time." she walked towards the corner of the room where he kept his bag and dropped her things beside his. She walked towards the bar and began stretching.
"Seonsaeng?"
"What are you doing staring there? Get up and stretch. You can teach me the dance today so we can start practicing as soon as tomorrow."
And just like that his instructor became his dance partner. For the rest of that week, the two of them would meet at that same dance room to practice. He had always seen her as the strict and perfectionist genius, which she was every time they rehearsed. But once they take a break, the woman was replaced by a fun, quirky girl that he never expected her to be.
It was the last night before his final and the two of them were practicing hard to perfect their moves. Luhan, though a music major, was pretty good in dancing and it was something that didn’t escape Victoria’s eyes. But for some reason Luhan was completely all-over the place for some reason.
"What’s wrong?" she asked after they had to cut their dance short since Luhan was making one mistake after another.
"I don’t know. Maybe I’m nervous." he lied. He was distracted. Why did she have to wear that tight sleeveless shirt tonight? The amount skin she was showing was distracting him and every time their skin made contact sent shivers down his spine.
He hasn’t told anyone that he had a huge crush on the woman in front of him. He had since the first day he saw her and unknowingly insulted her and spending these past few days with her developed his simple crush on her to something deeper.
"Should we try again? Luhan?"
Luhan looked towards Victoria and nodded.
"Close your eyes and take a deep breathe. Clear your mind and let the music dictate your movements. You know the moves by heart, you just need to let your body dictate."
As the music played the two of them moved in sync. His every move was perfect and it was probably his best performance to date. It wasn’t until towards the end where he was supposed to pull Victoria toward him that he finally made his mistake.
As he pulled her close, his eyes met hers. The intensity of her look made him take a step back. He tripped on his own feet and fell backwards taking the woman in his arms with him.
Their faces were mere centimeters away from each other. He could feel her sweet breath on his lips and he felt himself slowly leaning upwards towards her to seal her lips with his. Any doubt in his mind about the kiss quickly vanished when he saw her slowly close her big bunny eyes. He closed his eyes as well and enjoyed the kiss as well.
After a minute or two, she finally pulled away. He slowly opened his eyes and looked at the wonderful woman on top of her. He watched as she slowly opened her own eyes and smiled at her when she looked at him.
Her reaction, however, was not something he expected. She quickly jumped away from him and went towards her things.
"Well, I think that’s enough rehearsal for tonight. You need rest and so do I. Good luck tomorrow and do your best. Bye." she said without even pausing to take a breath. She quickly gathered her thing and left the room leaving a very confused Luhan alone.
End Flashblack
"Look Kai, it’s not doing Luhan hyung’s performance is a bad thing but where are we going to find a dancer willing to perform with us? Everyone is busy with their own finals." Sehun questioned.
"I’ve already talked to Luna-noona. She’s finished with all her performances for this semester so she would be able to help us perform." Kai answered.
'Luna? Really? Wasn't she the one who was supposed to perform with you hyung?” Tao asked to which Luhan nodded.
"Wow, you really want to do this performance don’t you?" Sehun said sharing a knowing look with Tao. Luhan raised an eyebrow towards the two.
"Hyung, did you know Kai has a crush on Song-seonsaeng?" Tao whispered, but it was still loud enough for Kai to hear.
"I do not!" Kai contested but his burning cheeks told Luhan a different story.
Flashback
"Everyone did their best today and with that I am happy. Good luck with your future endeavors. Final grades would be posted outside my office on Friday. You may go."
Luhan stayed behind as his classmates exited the room one by one. Soon the room was empty and there was only the two of them left inside the room.
Victoria, who was gathering her things, turned around and their eyes met.
"We need to talk." he said flatly.
"Then talk." she answered.
Luhan opened his mouth but no words came out. He had rehearsed everything he wanted to tell her the previous night. But the words just wouldn’t come out.
"If you’re just going to stand there and open and close your mouth like a fish out of water then I think I have better things to do." she quipped turning towards the exit.
"I LOVE YOU!" he suddenly spouted. "That kiss last night, it wasn’t just a spur in the moment type of thing. I knew you were different the moment I carelessly bumped into you that first day. When I found out that you were my teacher, I was happy and sad that you were. You were strict to me. You never voiced it out but I knew you were always observing me. I tried to do my best, not because I was concerned about my grades but because I wanted you to keep noticing me. I couldn’t express how happy I was when you came into the practice room last week and told me you’ll be my partner and needless to say, the past week was the best week of my entire life. I got to know you at a different level. I got to know the light-hearted funny girl that you are behind that strict passionate dancer persona you always presented. And I love both sides of your personality."
With every sentence he spoke, he stepped closer and closer to her until their faces were, once again, centimeters apart.
"But you are my student." she said, breathlessly.
"After you pass my grade, I won’t be."
"But you’ll still be a student and I’d still be a teacher. You do know it’s taboo for us to date."
"Won’t be the first, won’t be the last."
"But…"
"You’re giving me so many excuses but never have I heard you say that you don’t love me. That means you feel the same way."
He saw her eyes widen at his declaration. Taking the opportunity, he leaned forward and captured her lips with his. He has been craving the touch of soft lips since the previous night and he was glad he was able to kiss her again.
"I’m not going to force you to be with me. One year. Let’s wait. In a year, I would be graduating and all these problems you kept bring up would be nothing. But you have to promise me, promise me that you won’t look at anyone else. Please promise me. It’s the only way I would get through a year of not being with you."
Victoria looked deep into his eyes. “I promise.”
She sealed her promise with a kiss.
End Flashback
They made that promise with each other 6 month ago. He never gave any woman a second look and he trusted her word as well.
"Luna-noona!" Sehun yelled, making Luhan turn towards the door. He noticed the small but energetic girl enter the room and greeted the girl. However, the girl was not alone.
"Song-seonsaeng!" the three boys stood up and bow towards her but her eyes were somewhere else.
It was on him.
"Luhan…"
"Seonsaeng, you remember Luhan-hyung?" Tao asked excitedly.
"Of course…" she smiled towards him. A smile he knew that was reserved for him.
He can’t wait for the next 6 month to pass.
Captain, sorry to ask but, what are the LuhanxVic water bottle incident, and the KrisxVic encore incident? I have no idea what they are! :o
The KrisxVictoria encore incident happened during one of f(x)’s encore stage. Amber and Kris were conspiring to pick up Victoria initially, not Krystal. But because Victoria was wearing a skirt, they decided it wouldn’t be a good idea and so Amber told Kris to pick up Krystal instead. This caused a huge uproar with Kris’ C-fans and they initially attacked Krystal and talked so much shit about her. But Krystal stans tried to deflect the hate on Krystal onto Victoria, telling Kris’ fans that he actually wanted to pick up Victoria and so they should hate Victoria instead.
http://cultofbulls.tumblr.com/post/58025470850/no-people-who-went-to-the-live-like-the-fan-account
The LuhanxVictoria water bottle incident happened during a concert(I think it was the Hong Kong Dome festival). f(x) was on stage and some Luhan fans were pissed off at Victoria because they thought Luhan liked her and that they were dating or something. So apparently someone threw a water bottle either at her (but missed or at the stage). There was a gif somewhere on the internet of Victoria nudging the water bottle off the stage with her feet. And more of Luhan’s fans were talking shit about Victoria, like saying she’s a communist (because mainland China is communist) and that she should go back, etc.
