In all of his years of teaching Potions, in studying the Dark Arts, and in seeing all kind of magical creature, Severus Snape could quite honestly say that this.... this thing was an animal he was utterly unfamiliar with. Canine, it looked, though nothing close to what a Werewolf might appear as, and too strange a coloration for anything living to be an Animagus. No, indeed. This was something entirely out of his grasp, away from what he knew. It was a strange and delightful, almost intoxicating in the delight it brought, but also t e r r i f y i n g, leaving him vulnerable to whatever damage this thing could possibly do. His nostrils flared, thin eyes narrowing, and something in his dark mark seemed to burn uneasily. Whatever this was, it was completely animal, But was unnaturally human as well.
