“Once upon a time there was a demon, who wasn't like others. He never felt happy when he saw death, neither he enjoyed devouring souls of human beings. He always questioned his existance, why god ever consider creating such a dark and evil creature like him, a demon, full of human emotions. He could feel love, friendship, sadness, happiness and other emotions alongside with the hunger for souls. For years he kept himself starved, never even consider to hurt an innocence. His life was always a battle, a battle for his power, the power of 13th demon lord Beelzebud. Every being that knows what he was tried to kill him, completely destroy, only to get that power. His life was miserable: always running, being betrayed, always HURT. One day he thought "that's enough!" He couldn't live like that anymore. There was no point in his life. He was alone ever since he stopped being human. He thought about letting other demons kill him, so he won't suffer, not listening to his death whispers, who was trying to help him. Now, in human world he was badly hurt, lying on the ground, waiting for a pleasant darkness to surround him and disappear. Then he heard a shout, a girl charged at the attacker, completely crushing him. The demon registered how similar her power was, yet different. It was the power of fierce fire and light, which was like total opposite of his. The seal, other name of their power, name coming from the card seals. Her seal represented Maria's power. Demon knew Maria in past, she was pleasant and caring angel, the only one who actually saw him as a person, but then she died. It's hurt to be practically immortal, when you can't die from aging and can't be easily killed. The girl saying something, she is worried about demon, can't she see that there is no difference between him and attacker she beaten?
"My name is Bella Bauer, let’s get you to clinic you bleed like hell!" cried the girl and she was really shocked at what she just did, thought demon didn't mind, he would be shocked too, if he was human with recently discovered strange powers. She helped him out, and he now could see her face. Her short blond locks and big blue eyes reminded him of Maria, but her aura was more energetic, happy go lucky type, he already could see her face with a cheecky grin on it. But now her face was worried, scared, even have some sort of panic. Demon didn't like it, knowing that she will have to go all the way through life like he did.
"Hey, are you alright? Please, don't blank out, or die, talk to me, say you name or something" she pleaded. The demon smirked. He already felt better, but, even though her face was scared, her pleading sounded quiet amusing.
"Relax, peasant, I'm fine. My name is Yoru. Sekimei Yoru" said demon his fake name laughing lightly at hilarious Bella's expression. Then she started her angry shouting, but Yoru was too amused to be offended by any of those. This little girl became the new reason for demon to continue his quest of life.“
I find it funny how I was wrighting back then, reactions are so unrealistic. Yet this looks so sweet. Also, Bauer is a surname with a certain meaning... I still like to think that Bella and Yoru have quarells that go out to name-calling. And Bella is more creative then little-wittle lord of demons. I wish I could meet the kid I was at 14. This scene is no longer canon, but that’s the first time I called Bella by her name. This whole thing makes me smile.
