Jean-Paul moved to sit down, he wasn’t entirely sure why– considering his mind was, and still is, solely occupied with the thought that he needed to keep a hold of his fears. He’s paranoid that his trembling hands have lead to his whole body being swept away in a shaky stupor, and he wasn’t wrong. It’s the sheer concept that his shaking potentially could, and would, worsen that fed the immense fear he continued to harbor.
She’d been talking to him, of that he remains positive, yet he’d struggled to make out her words. Even so, that hadn’t dissuaded him from the comforting soft tones of her voice. It also doesn’t stop him from feeling feminine hands, those of his dear sister, encouraging him to remain seated for the time being.
A soft, barely audible plea left his lips once he’d been satisfied enough his voice wouldn’t fail him.
“Please… please won’t you stay with me. ”
It’s not as simple as shallow purposeful breathes, it’s not as simple as sitting down. It took time for his body to cease shaking, it takes even longer for the courage to return to his voice so that he may hold a conversation lasting more than a few words. Only then, once the lesser of his symptoms started to subside, did he tilt his head upward to catch her gaze so that he could give her a quick purposeful kiss on the cheek.
“How ever did I make do without you, Jeanne-Marie... ”

It’s a sheer longing to see his sister that led him to Alpha Flight HQ, he’d maintain that ruse, rather than stifling guilt in his stomach at not having touched base after the entire Terrigan Mist saga. Between their last catch up, Jean Paul had opted not to renew his teaching contract with the school... in part due to the rather hectic nature of an upcoming Team Northstar schedule. Not that it’d been public knowledge at the time; the reasoning for his departure.
“ Tu m'as manqué, dear sister. ”
And while on the subject of honesty, he’d been getting an assistant (with strict instruction from Kyle) to monitor all incoming communications including, yet not limited to, calls and texts.
“ Is something wrong? I thought you’d be far more pleased to see your dear brother. ”
⚽: Do they look up at their own parents for guidance or would they try to raise their kids in a different manner? (( well what he remembers of them))
He would definitely look to his parents because aside from his dad letting his adoration of Elias to turn a blind eye to how dangerous he was, his parents were incredibly loving and patient.
