putting the bell on the door was one of the better ideas florencia had for the store. on days like this, where caroline wasn’t in to help run the shop, florencia wouldn’t accidentally keep customers waiting while they were working in the back. the bell dings, so florencia calls out “i’ll be with you in a second!” they’re looking for a certain vase to complete an order they’ve been meaning to start. once their eyes land on it, they mumble an “ah, there it is!” to themselves before grabbing it and heading to the front. she walks to the front, vase in hands, ready to help the customer. “sorry to keep you waiting,” she starts before her eyes properly land on the customer in front of her. it’s just a beat or two between her eyes landing on lunara and the sound of glass shattering against the floor. “ LUNA . ” their body is frozen, and they’re unsure if they’re stuck in a bad dream or something. conversation with lunara had always been easy, but they hadn’t really spoken since their fight. not jumping straight into conversation felt wrong. “uh... what-- what are you doing here?”
