Problematic | Lance & Lovrina [Date Event!]
@lxvrina
“hm....”
Lance stood in front of the entrance to Restaurant Le Wow, waiting patiently as he constantly tugged at his collar. When Karen had learned about the blind date he had been set up for, he remembered her going ecstatic and gathering the rest of the Elite 4 to dress him up.
It wasn’t like Lance wasn’t used to wear suits...after all it certainly wasn’t the first time he’s had to wear one. It certainly didn’t mean he enjoyed it either...
Plus Karen had forbidden any capes.
Regardless here he was... The date and location had been set in the middle of the most populous city in the Pokemon World. As he waited he took his time to stare and look around the city. It certainly was a beautiful place. The sun was starting to set which allowed the decorative lights shine brightly.
“Hm...even if this date doesn’t go well, at least the food and location is nice.” Lance thought to himself.
Disguise | Moros & Lovrina
@lxvrina
Moros didn't know what had prompted him to enter the raffle in the first place. He didn't need more Pokémon and he didn't care about whatever poor homeless creature he'd be 'rescuing.' But when he saw the blue and pink Porygon, he’d admittedly been interested in the Pokémon. The thing was… cute, in a way. It didn’t have many functions beyond moving its head and waggling its legs—or what passed for them, anyway—and making electronic sounds.
Moros liked it though. It floated around the room and had followed him away as he exited DJ Mary’s studio. He wasn’t so sure about the good home the woman thought he’d be providing, but the little thing could do worse, he was sure. Porygon were pretty outdated, now. Moros didn’t know much about them aside from the fact that they’d been artificially created decades ago. While they’d been top of the line technology back then, they weren’t much to look at now.
Together they descended the floors of the Radio Tower, and Moros considered what he ought to name the thing. As he approached the final set of stairs, he couldn’t help but notice a girl standing at the bottom. Her hair was bubblegum pink and came down almost to her ankles, parted down the middle into two pigtails.
Beside her was an odd little Pokémon; it looked like it had some kind of burlap sack covering its body, but as Moros looked he noticed a shadowy hand slither out from beneath the fabric. Hm. A ghost, then. It was kind of cute. As he got closer, he could see that the fabric had floppy ears and something drawn on it. It looked almost like… a Pikachu. Or a child’s interpretation of what one might look like, anyway.
Moros wondered if that was a quirk of this particular Pokémon, or a trait of its entire species. Either way, it was kind of endearing. It occurred to him then that the Pokémon was probably a rescue, and she one of the other winners of the raffle. But, the creature was clearly a ghost, and that hadn’t been one of the available choices for the prize Pokémon. What had the others been? Psychic and… fairy?
Moros looked up at the girl beside it and found he’d been caught staring at her Pokémon, given the way she was looking directly at him with a pair of acid green eyes. He wasn’t sure what to do with the attention, but the girl didn’t seem shy about it, and Moros had no choice but to head in her direction.
Lovrina swooces in, pigtails waving behind her and a smile on her face. "Hey girl! I'm, like, here to pick up my prize." She extends a long finger towards the little shiny Mimikyu in the back. "Sure, it's totally dilapidated right now, but I'm so gonna dress it up in some cute outfits!"
The girl’s attitude was just as shocking as her hair. She–that is to say, Lovrina–walked as if she owned the room. She wore a haughty look like she’d wear a 240 carat ring. Her smile was catlike; it sent shivers down Mary’s spine.
DJ Mary did not want to be left alone in the same room with her for any more than she had to. She felt horrible for thinking it, but it was true, but she was also professional and wouldn’t the Director be disappointed with her if she did? Mary wasn’t the bravest person by any means–she still had a healthy fear of bumps in the night–but sometimes she wished she didn’t have to pretend like she did.
But she closed her eyes, took a deep breath, and greeted Lovrina with what she hoped was a casual enough smile. “Ah, yes, hello. Good afternoon!” Mary hoped the other wouldn’t hear the slight tremble in her voice. “Thank you so much for coming in. Mimikyu is…
“…well, I don’t know what it is,” she finished lamely. Mary’s confidence faded, and a frown formed on her face. She returned the ghost-type back into its Poke Ball. “The poor dear just sits there. He doesn’t move, doesn’t eat (at least I’ve never seen it), it doesn’t do anything. When you get close… he shies away. I don’t know what to do.”
Mary let out a long sigh. She reluctantly brought her gaze to the pink-haired woman. “Would you be able to take him and give him the attention he needs?”
One sooty cutie for one snooty beauty.

A Haunting Discovery | Lillie & Cipher Leader Lovrina [All Hail the Queen Verse]
@lxvrina
“Spooky, slow down!” Lillie called, trying to move quickly down the overgrown forest path without tripping over the many tree roots that sprawled out in front of her. The Litwick simply blinked his green eyes at her before disappearing in a flash of blue fire, only to reappear in a puff of smoke deeper in the woods.
“If you don’t stop behaving you’re going to have to go back in your Pokeball,” Lillie threatened, stumbling slightly over the uneven ground. Honestly, this Pokemon was almost as poorly behaved as Nebby. Almost. It probably had something to do with the fact that Litwick had previously belonged to someone else, and Lillie wasn’t the most confident Trainer, but she’d hoped spending more time together would allow them to grow closer together. Not that it had showed evidence of helping so far.
A childish giggle echoed through trees, and Lillie felt a blush rising to her cheeks. She’d had her share of embarrassing moments as a Trainer before, but this was reaching a new level. She nearly caught up with Spooky and had opened her mouth to scold him when the Pokemon vanished yet again.
After chasing the Litwick a few more times, Lillie looked around to realize she’d completely lost sight of the main trail. She was worried about finding her way out of the wilderness when she noticed that Spooky had appeared in front of large metal door.
As Lillie approached, the Litwick blinked away again, and a few seconds later, the door swung open a couple of inches. When Lillie pulled it open further, she found Spooky sitting on the other side. “Did you do that?” she asked curiously. Spooky’s flame flickered briefly and Lillie thought for a moment that his expression looked more proud than mischievous.
Lillie peered into the structure, trying to see what would be hidden out in the forest. Maybe someone here could help her find her way back into town. “Hello? Is anyone there?”

Lysandre is a great man. Lysandre is a great man.
Augustine shook his head, trying to dispel the memory of his own words that had mocked him since hearing the Holocaster broadcast from the man himself and later the news from Geosenge Town.
A great man, indeed. A great liar and deceiver, perhaps. A wonderful testament to the terrible deeds man was capable of.
The reality of it was still difficult to grasp, and Augustine poured himself another glass of wine to combat his overwhelming emotions. He drank deeply from the glass as he stood by the windows of his Lumiose City apartment. From there he could clearly see the illuminated Prism Tower, standing tall at the center of the city. It was as picturesque as ever, but tonight the lights did not seem as beautiful as they had once been.
How had his dearest friend, the man who had always wanted nothing more than to make the world a more beautiful place, become something so much like those he hated with such passion? Augustine had not been blind to his friend’s faults like some others would surely believe. He had seen the pride, the intense conviction, but never had the courage to tell Lysandre that his anger at those who hurt and took from others would not heal the wounded or restore what they had lost.
Hey, can I put Lovrina on an extended hiatus? I've been super busy with school.
No problem at all, my friend! School is always so much, isn’t it? I think we’ve all been there, if we’re not right now! You’re right to step away from roleplay for a bit to focus on everything else going on. For now, Lovrina will be on hiatus until March 21st. See you then!
