Hi my name is Prinly and I really like Majora's Mask
Tumblr friends get an exclusive look at my secret NDK cos because I wanted to share these selfies of the process of @teamrocketme photo bombing me.
I know I don't post a lot of my cosplay stuff on here anymore but I need everyone to see this goddamn enormous excessive flower crown @teamrocketme and I made for my Kaine. Help I love it so much
One thing I don't understand about cosplay recently is the stigma regarding cosplaying the same character/outfit that someone else has cosplayed. Be it a friend, a popular cosplayer, etc. I've had friends get discouraged over cosplaying a character that one of their other friends has already cosplayed. I've seen people purposely avoid cosplaying one of their favorite characters because someone else did it "first" or "better". I've seen friends arrive at meetups at cons and turn their noses up at the other cosplayers cosplaying the same character. Let's stop this.
I think the worst is when people are snooty about it. "Ooooh she's cosplaying the same character I did 2 years ago, mine will still be better than hers" "Wow at least my costume is way better than this girl’s" *points to other girl in photoshoot standing like 4 feet away*
Come onnnn. It's not a contest. When you see someone cosplaying the same character as you, better, worse, similar skill level, be excited that that character motivated and encouraged them in the same way it did you to make their costume. Get excited about the character. Take cute pictures together.
Let's stop with this middle school drama BS. Cosplay is freakin fun guys.
POWERBOMBED to finish Two today and I just got her done 100%
Pics tomorrow if I’m not too tired after work!
