Tyyyyy!! I had so much fun with everyone's designs! Lydia's design is my fave too :DD

Basically this au is just a combination of all my favorite things about all the Beetlejuice media and me just adding and removing stuff I like + dislike :]]

Sooo, Here's a list of stuff about my au I think is fun

Beetlejuice and Lydia are related. He's her great great grand uncle on her mom's side.

Meaning the marriage thing doesn't happen because I hate it. So they're besties and that's her weird dead uncle.

Bj was studying to be an entomologist while he was alive but ended up as a "snake oil" salesman/bug exterminator, that why he has those fake antenna in his human design bc that was his sales gimmick

If you look at all my dead person designs you get hints about how they died: Beetlejuice has a scar around his neck, The Maitlands have water dripping from their mouths, Miss Argentina has slits on her wrists, and Ginger has a spider bite on her arm

The Maitlands actually lived in that house with Beetlejuice for a couple years while being dead before Lydia and her family moved in.

That's because he was haunting the house for a long time before they bought the house, he was just hopping in and out of the netherworld from that house and watching over his great nieces and nephews until the house got sold to the Maitlands.

Jacque and Prince Vince were both born in the Netherworld

Lydia's mom died a year ago and Charles started dating Delia about 6 months ago.

Delia is into crystals and witchcraft, which Lydia genuinely thinks is really cool but doesn't ask about it and pretends to not care about it on the principle of not wanting to like Delia.

Bertha and Prudence are slightly more important, bc they give Lydia some other friends her age in a new town and they're also just as weird and nerdy as her (I love Bertha and Prudence I don't care that they're a little boring)

ClaireLyds is canon in this au, it's rivals to lovers

Prince Vince is from Netherworld, but after meeting Lydia he transfers to their school.

Barbara had an alternative "phase" when she was in high school so she can relate to Lydia a lot.

Adam uses the pictures Lydia takes while outside to make more sculptures

The Maitlands are T4T and they met in high school

Lydia is interested in photography, fashion design, and Entomology. She constantly asks Bj to tell her bug facts :]
