"You look how I feel!" "...Gay?" is such a great exchange. Gob's expression and tone. The wind immediately going out of Tobias's sails. The mutual panic and confusion. The fact that it makes no goddamn sense. Shakespearian.
One more stupid thing I'm feeling things about, "Just hands!" is fucking ridiculous but also it's the last line between Gob and Tony in the show... and they say it perfectly in same 🙏
feeling insane about the fact that they didn't even officially cast Ben Stiller as Tony Wonder at first they just got the rights to use his face in the stupid Tony Wonderbread gag and crossed their fingers that he'd agree to do the show later
I do deeply wish that there'd been any sort of scandal fallout from gob and tony's sex date, there was so much potential and obvious set up there. The fact that gob very clearly points out the To Catch A Predator cameras in the bedroom (and the TCAP tapes even were followed up on, but only just the one from the living room) and immediately gets told by Lucille to not get into any scandals the next morning is just so rich. Also the fact that Tony took a forget me now and in this scenario would be re-finding out that he and gob had sex via a leaked sex tape which also has the side effect of simultaneously boosting his career and ruining his relationship with sally?? I just wish we could have seen that situation play out
The whole plot line is just so silly when you put it in context of actually how famous Tony seems to be and also how much of Michael's memory got wiped. Like the Bluth kids aren't Not celebrities but they're kind of Rich Dipshit celebrities that only tabloid readers and other rich dipshits would know whereas Tony is clearly like a household name entertainer analogous to whatever magician is the most recognizable in pop culture at the moment. There's just something so absurd about losing a day under suspicious circumstances until it's eventually revealed that it's all because you caught your brother fucking Criss Angel Mindfreak.
