Yuui and Deryx make a return with half body scetches!!! Now that they are out of basic cartoon, stick figure format, I can tell you their story.
Yuui and Deryx both attend the most prestigious high school in all of Inketer, a made up fantasy world that is the same as Earth but with a few massive changes. First of all, humans make up around 50% of the worlds population and have no magical or physical power, but they have advanced technology, like AI and robots. Etc etc. So they aren’t useless. The other 50% is made up of magical beasts and monsters such as elemental dragons, demons, ogres, spirits, half-beasts, all of the magical creatures.
There is peace between the two sides though and monsters live alongside humans, but as of recent times ‘Multibeasts’ have begun to appear across the world and are killing anything they come across. Multibeasts are normal monsters who are possessed by a magical and unknown force which urges them to kill and absorb the powers of other beings. So they get super powerful super quick.
Kiygard High school trains and teaches students how to take down Multibeasts, and makes them into super tough, powerful heroes. By focusing in on their magical abilities, the school helps students develop and enhance their powers until they are able to operate in hero teams that hunt and scout Multibeasts.
So back to Yuui and Deryx. The two of them are paired up from day one and stay in the same dorm room together on the school grounds. Deryx is a cheeky and happy demon, which is against their usual nature, so Yuui is sceptical at first. But despite his happy and encouraging nature, Deryx would kill a Multibeast if it came to his friend. But if it didn’t come to that, he would try his best to save the beast. Yuui on the other hand is interested in how the Multibeasts operate but doesn’t like them. He is timid and a little shy but he is strong and gets angrily easy. No one at the school knows he is a dragon half-breed, because he likes to hide his true form, since he can’t control it. Every now and then it shines through but Yuui is very good at covering it up.
Yuui is an only child and both his parents (mother- Lakesa, father- Ferngerd) live in another country on the other side of the world. He flew over to the country of Raetle by himself so he could attend Kiygard and protect his parents in the future when they could no longer protect themselves.
Deryx’s parents (mother- Haylee, ma- Jasmine) adopted him as a baby and are both humans. Deryx’s real parents both went to Kiygard but were killed by a Multibeast. He attends Kiygard so he can make sure that never happens again but also to prove he doesn’t need wings to be a Lykin demon hero. Also the patch around his eye is not a scar, it’s just red skin kinda like a panda. It’s cute, and he loves it.
